Short Term, not the best as obviously Richard Seymour on your defense is a positive. But long term this is probably a top 5 pick under the new CBA agreement that will likely limit rookies deals, therefore Belichick will be much more likely to keep the pick and take the most talented guy.
This is all contingent on Seymour passing a physical and I am pretty sure you cant pass one if you never report. Not sure how that works out after that.
I can only imagine Belichick sitting in his office and tired old senile Al Davis calls. "Hey Bill, I'll give ya a first round pick for that Seymour fella ya got there.. Just win baby!" Meanwhile Belichicks jaw is still on the floor.
The Patriots prove again why they are set up long term better than any franchise in the NFL.
