Do you guys see any upsets or suprises this week? Dunno what to expect from Chicago and Green Bay. Rodgers and Grant are in full form while Cutler is slowly leading the Bears.

I dunno if you could call them upsets in week 1, but
I have a funny feeling that Washington will beat New York and Cleveland beating Minny To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Well, teams are always talked about or predicted to win or lose in advance. Hell, people think the Lions will lose all season once more, but they could win this week in week 1, and it would be suprising.
I could see Washington beating New York. I know some fans of the Redskins aren't confident, but Redskins could do it if Jason Campbell fights around thedefense.

The TV rights here are a mess at the moment. Nobody knows whats on where and feck all has been confirmed. Last year was great because it was all on one station. Now it could be on 3 stations with 1 which is suppose to be covering SNF not available in Ireland. Load of pants but hopefully the Chargers start off well

Sky will air live coverage of games at 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. every Sunday night through the NFL season, as well as providing live coverage of the Saturday and Thursday night games that take place during the final seven weeks of the season, along with all postseason games.
I'm guessing that means Five have the Sunday Night Football (I think I've read that they do), and ESPN will have Monday Night Football (as they do in the US).

Yep, you should get your chargers fill in the UK from what I've read. Beating up on the Raiders is my favorite way to start the Football season To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
even if you cant find it on TV, Im sure I can hook you up with a decent stream.

Heading up Five's coverage of the games in the studio for the third consecutive year will be Mike Carlson and Nat Coombs. The live game commentary will be taken from NBC's coverage from the USA, with Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth voicing the action.
I love Mike Carlson, so I will be setting my tape to record Sunday Night Football every week.
I'm going to try and keep up with it all this season. I wans't too good last year at following up until the play-offs, but I managed to keep up to date the season before last.

Lions to start #1 Draft Pick Stafford In Opener
Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz has announced Matthew Stafford as the team's starting quarterback.
Detroit selected Stafford with the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft this spring after becoming the league's first 0-16 team and is desperately counting on him to end a decades-long search for a star quarterback.
The Lions have only one playoff victory since winning the NFL title in 1957 and not coincidentally, they've had the same number of Pro Bowl quarterbacks in the last half-century.
Stafford seems to have the tools to end the drought.
The Lions are banking on his success after giving him a six-year deal worth as much as $78 million with $41.7 million in guarantees. That's more than the $35 million Eli Manning was guaranteed as part of his contract extension this summer with the New York Giants.
This preseason, he shared snaps with former Pro Bowler Daunte Culpepper until the 10-year veteran cut his foot last week. Culpepper needed stitches to close the wound.
Jay should be happy >.>
