Very happy with the DeRozan pick. The rebuild starts now.

I'm cautious to call it a rebuild while they still have Bosh, from everything BC has said he wants to make a serious run this year and get Bosh to stick around. Demar is a great start though, if he can fix up his shot like Triano says hell be just what they need out of the 2.

and once again Rob Babcock shows he couldn't draft right if his life depended on it.

Well it's obviously not a rebuild until Bosh is gone... but I'm at a point where that seems more inevitable than ever before.

Re: NBA Draft 2009 Results

What type of player is DeRozan? If he is a slasher, why in God's name would anyone want him to develop a jumpshot? I mean a 10- 20 feet maybe, but the last thing the Raps need is another shooter. I'd rather just see him take the ball, hard, to the bucket every time.

No one should expect him to deliver much this upcoming season. He's a project in that regard, but has higher upside than arguably anyone in that draft. Hopefully the Raps don't plan on being a soft, jump-shooting team forever (the Evans trade was a good first step).

Thats great and all but you can't drive the ball every time =\

Hes got a decent Mid range shot and a decent 3 ball, according to Triano there easily fixed. The only person I could compair him to in a best case is Vince Carter and Gerald Green if hes a bust.

Re: NBA Draft 2009 Results

I was at the race track, people were so furious there about us getting four PG.

I don't follow Basketball at all, but from what I saw, a lot of people aren't happy.

Re: NBA Draft 2009 Results

Even though they took four guards, Minnesota did pretty good in this draft. Two of their guards are free agents and they're loaded at the forward and center positions.

Unless they trade Rubio to NY for a damn good package, they actually did pretty terrible. You don't draft a back up PG with a 5th or 6th pick...
