This is a discussion on NBA Off Season Thread within the North American Sports forums, part of the Sports Forums category; Does that spell the end for Turkoglu in Orlando? Because otherwise this is a pretty scary lineup:
Dwight-Hedo-Lewis-Vince-Nelson...

Only problem is, where is the intensity on the Magic? Lewos, Howard, Carter, Hedo... are all laid back players. Nelson as your most intense player, Oh my fail. Magic arent going back to the finals with that line up.

...?
They just essentially got to the Finals with that lineup, only minus Nelson and Carter. Adding a guy like Carter, who can create his own shot and be a weapon in the 4th quarter, makes the Magic that much scarier to play against.
Its always harder to get back to the finals the second time. Teams make adjustments, and who knows about Nelson. He was just horrid in the playoffs, and they traded Alston. It was proven that Howard can be stopped in the paint, Hedo and Lewis will have offnights, and who knows about Carter? There are questions about his love of the game, his injury status, and if he will show up on a nightly basis. I know he did good on the Nets last season, but that doesnt change his character.

Well, Nelson had a pretty legit excuse, wouldn't you say? And I still think Dwight is way too young for anything to be "proven" about his post game.
What Carter adds is an element the Magic haven't really had since McGrady: a guy who can create his own space and shot, and score from anywhere on the court. That's gonna open the entire offense up, especially late in games when Howard can be mostly contained.
Who are the restricted Free Agents? I want Ben Gordon on the C's!!

I only see the Vince Carter to Orlando deal making a difference if they also sign Turk back.. then their offense might be unstoppable. If you're just basically swapping the two, then what does it matter? They need Hedo with the pnr and to play point forward.

Really what excuse was that? If he was still injured he shouldnt have played. If he was rusty, well who cares, he pretty much cost his team wins in the finals. Given a few years, Lee could have created his own shot, he already has the explosive driving ability. He was really the grit of that team and now they have a big contract with a lot of questions. They still havent addressed their weak bench, outside of Mickael Pietrus they are still lacking. I'd hate to see what happens when VC doesnt show up, Lewis has an off night, and Howard is forced into hookshots. Its going to complete lawls. Once again, as is I cant see them making it to the finals. With or without Hedo, they still have some holes that need to be plugged.
