Thank you sir. I was actually curious to see what you think, because I know you're the biggest college football fan on here, and I remember us butting heads on the issue in the past. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll ever see anything like this...

uh oh...now we have a problem. What to do about Rutgers? What if they go 12-0? Can you really leave an undefeated BCS Conference team out of the national championship, and put a one-loss team in their place?

Well there's no way Rutgers can jump high enough in the rankings to make the NC, so it looks like a major bowl is the best they'll get.

Regardless, how sweet is that! I was crushed when the Mountaineers lost last week, but this is awesome.

I didn't read anything in this thread other Tom's first post. I just wanted to mention that I got tickets to the OSU vs. Mich game. It's my first ever college football game.

that was a great game. I saw most of it. Rutgers won't go 12-0 though. The football Gods will make sure that West Virginia beats them and we'll be left with the same schools as always bitching about one spot..

College Football!

Re: The Dogg Pound (6/5/06) - Fixing college football

Using this sytem, this would be this year's playoff bracket:

#1 Ohio State vs. #16 Bowling Green

#2 LSU vs. #15 Troy

#3 Virginia Tech vs. #14 Central Florida

#4 Oklahoma vs. #13 BYU

#5 USC vs. #12 Boston College

#6 West Virginia vs. #11 Kansas

#7 Georgia vs. #10 Hawaii

#8 Missouri vs. #9 Arizona St.

Setting up this for the second round:

Missouri vs. Ohio State

Georgia vs. LSU

West Virginia vs. Virginia Tech

USC vs. Oklahmoa

Also, if you dont want to include the winners of the shitty conferences as the 13-16 seeds, you could substitute in Illinois, Florida, Tennessee, and Clemson

UCF is 10-3. I wouldn't include them in anything.
