This is a good trade for Gonzalez & Atlanta. Tony's been looking to get out of KC for a while now, so I'm betting this will rejuvenate his career, or else light a fire under his ass for another year or two. Factor in that Ryan is a much better Quaterback than the ones he's been getting balls from lately and I think he'll have a solid year. Not Pro Bowl-worthy or anything, but I think a good replacement for Crumpler.

I don't think it was a huge "steal" I think it was fair market value. The Chiefs are in no way planning to win this year, or possibly even next, they seem to be going into complete overhaul/rebuild mode. Gonzalez, while on the downside of his career, he's still gives Ryan and the Falcons more opportunities in the red zone and makes them more in a 2-3 year window of opportunity to win. Plus he's more reliable than any second round pick.

wait are you saying Magic Johnson is black, has AIDS and has it better than ME?
To all the people bashing KC, I'd say this trade was more of a favour for Gonzalez than for their own gain. They weren't going to get a higher draft pick anyway even if TG is still a top 3 TE.
Because the NFL is kind of switching to Dual RB offenses.
Oh okay...
Jerious Norwood??? I could swear Atlanta already had two RBs To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Plus switching to a 2 back system is something you do in the second or third round of the draft not with the first round pick when you have glarring linebacker and interior defensive lineman issues.

I said dual, not backup. Norwood is more of a 3DRB. By dual I mean Bradshaw/Jacobs, Williams/White, Barber/Jones, and several others.

Yea, I guess that's why Chris Johnson, Felix Jones and Jonathan Stewart went in the second/third rounds. You draft according to the players available. RBs aren't that deep this year, but LBs are a different story.Yes, they need linemen, but the linemen class is much deeper than the RB class that actually has players that can be a great tantum with Turner. Not to mention there are some good free agents out there(Taylor) for them to fill those holes.
