This was first reported weeks ago, but due to injuries to both "big names" it seemed to be on hold .. until now .
Ahh being a huge fan of Marion in PHX, and a "being from Canada" fan of the Raptors, I can honestly say Im unsure if this is really a great trade for either team.
The Raptors are terrible, but it's more of the lack of effort/bullshit surrounding Bosh now that have been the big factor of them losing games .. and in the games they have lost, who was their hardest worker? JO . I love Marion and all, Im just not sure he's the fit for the slumping Raps right now.
On the other end, the Heat do get a great C/PF and a highflyer in Moon, but it seems they had it going pretty strong lately and it could just fuck up the dynamics as D-Wade and Marion seemed to play off each other well ..

thoughts ?

Wow...excuse me while I go jump off a cliff. J.O was there BEST defensive player, Moon was terrible on offense but considering hes dirt cheap and played a shred of Defense coming of the bench its not bad. J.O, Graham and AP all gave this team a grit that kept games close. Jermaine is officially probably the best center to ever play for the raptors, its sad to see him discarded after a bad start to the season. I can only hope Bosh decides to play defense like J.O one day, thankfully J.O taught Bargs a lot about defense.

I honestly can't stand this trade.

Banks is the worst part IMO, unless that pick turns out to be a usable 1st-rounder (which I doubt).

I'm not the biggest fan of this trade, but I can see at least see the point of it. Besides Marion's contract expiring at the end of the year, I don't think Colangelo's given up on this year, and if anything wants to see how a core of Bosh/Bargnani/Calderon performs with an adequate wing. If they can't succeed, I think he seriously considers dealing Bosh this offseason.

As for the rest of this season, I think a starting 5 of --

C Bargnani
F Bosh
F Marion
G Parker
G Calderon

-- is a pretty decent lineup that could do some damage if they got on a roll.

Word on Miami radio is that its a "Top 14 Protected pick Until 2014" So as long as the raps don't make the play offs there money.
