Heretic Fight League was formed on August 27th 2011 by a benefactor known as Dan Maskell, Dan is looking to create an alternative brand to opose the UFC especially following the purchase of Strikeforce, Dan has also made the controversial decision to contest the fights under Pride rules.

Hair pulling.
Biting.
Fish hooking
Any attacks to the groin
Strikes to the back of the head which includes the occipital region and the spine.
The sides of the head and the area around the ears are not considered to be the back of the head. (see Rabbit punch) Small joint manipulation (control of four or more fingers/toes is necessary).
Intentionally throwing your opponent out of the ring. Running out of the ring.
Purposely holding the ropes. Fighters cannot purposely hang an arm or leg on the ropes and it will result in an immediate warning

Undercard
Middleweight Bout: Gerald Harris vs Solomon Hutcherson
In what was a very dissapointing fight Gerald Harris would take a Decision over Solomon after using his Wrestling to control all three rounds

Welterweight Bout: Joe Riggs vs Alex Reid
After a very scrappy first round both men came out to bang in the second round when Reid attempted a kick only for Riggs to catch his leg and fire off a punch which knocked Reid out in the second round

Heavyweight Bout: Wes Shivers vs Valentijn Overeem
As this fight began Valentijn would use his superior grappling technique to control most of the first round until Wes managed to take Overeem's back and then pound out a first round submission(strikes)

Lightweight: Jeff Lawson vs Rob Emerson
In the best fight of the night these two men had a fast paced exciting brawl for the first two rounds, in the third round Emerson would manage to drop Lawson with a knee and attempted to capitalise only for Lawson to catch his Arm and lock in a Armbar earning Jeff a third round submission

Welterweight Bout: Paul Daley vs Karo Parisyan
In a very dominating performance Paul Daley would knock out Parisyan following one of his trademark Left Hooks in the very first round

Light Heavyweight Bout: Vinny Maghalhaes vs Jason Guida
In a good showcase of his skills Vinny would use his superior ground game to control Guida for two rounds, in the third round the two men had a few striking excahnges but nothing of any signifigance, in the end it would be Vinny taking a decision

Middleweight Bout: Cung Le vs Travis Lutter
both men in this fight come out looking to make an impression but it was Cung Le who would take a decision victory picking Lutter apart with a variety of strikes and stuffing numerous takedowns

After a back and forth first round from both men, they come out swinging in the second and Smith manages to land a big left hook on Yager which knocks him out giving Smith the win.

Brett Rogers vs Jon Olav Einemo
Brett Rogers in the first round used his Muay Thai to dominate Einemo until he made the mistake of taking the Jiu Jitsu ace down from the clinch, Einemo quickly manages to sweep Rogers and lock on a Armbar for an impressive first round submission

Antonio Mckee vs Gabe Ruediger
In a slightly dissapointing fight Antonio McKee would use his superior grappling to control Gabe for 3 rounds for a decision victory

Jordan Smith vs Travis Lutter(1)
In a interesting fight on the card it was clear Smith was not prepared for lutter who replaced his original opponent(Dan Cramer) after a series of big shots from Lutter Smith attempted a takedown only to be quickly guillotined in the first round

Nate Marquardt vs Jim Wallhead
In an impressive showing for Nate Marquardt he managed to produce a dominating display against Jim Wallhead taking a thrid round decision

Todd Duffee vs Seth Petruzelli
After a dominant first round from Duffee, Petruzelli come out in the second round and pushed a tremendous pace on Todd picking him apart with strikes, at the start of the third round Duffee was ruled in no fit state to continue declaring Seth the winner by TKO

James McSweeney vs Tom Blackledge
In a battle of the brits these two men came out swinging in the first round with James landing some vicious leg kicks whilst Tom landed a nasty elbow which cut open Mcsweeney after having a look the doctor ruled James was unable to compete giving Tom the win.

AFter two rounds of Stevenson picking Aoki apart on the feet using his boxing skills Shinya managed to blanket Stevenson for the next three giving Aoki a Decision win for the title
