New Member IntroductionsYou new? You leaving the interwebs forever? You want people to stand up and notice you? Here is the forum to let us know more about you and what you bring to the forum.
Just wanted to stop in and introduce myself. I know Mark from another site he used to run, I figured I'd stop in and see what this place is about.
A little about me: My name is Dan (obviously), I'm 23 years old and from New York. I'm a DJ by trade, do a bit of webmastering and server admin on the side as well as run a couple of my own forums.
I'm not a huge movie fan but really looking forward to the Simpons movie, haven't been to the theater in years but I'll pony up the $12 to see that before it comes out on DVD.
Anywho, look forward to getting to know some people here and contributing to the madness.
And now, here it is...your moment of Carlin (12/1/2008)
There is no part of American life that hasn't been soiled by the new, softer, artificial language. It's everywhere. When you travel, you notice it in the hotel business, or as they prefer to think of themselves now, the hospitality industry.
And I don't think, you see the places inside me that I find you,
And I don't know, how we separate the lies here from the truth,
And I don't know, how we woke up one day somehow thought we knew,
Exactly what we're supposed to do.
So leave me, at the Roadside,
And hang me, up and out to dry,
Hey Dan, nice to have you hear at Monks. I'm sure it will be a nice change for once from the tech forums you're used to. There is a little bit of everything for everyone here. Enjoy your stay, and I know I don't have to worry aout you being shy...
