Re: Best Band
Hmmmm... Ok
Singer: Justin Currie (Del Amitri)
Lead Guitar: Eddie Van Halen (Van Halen)
Rhythm Guitar: Mike Park (Skankin' Pickles/ The Chinkees/ Solo)
Bass: Dan Andriano (Alkaline Trio)
Pianist: Andrew McMahon (Something Corporate)
Drums: Longineu W. Parsons III (Yellowcard)
Now that line up has been chosen because I have a lot of admiration for each person, and love how they play their instrument. However, put them together like that, and all the different styles are going to be bloody shite. Still, they'd look cool on stage...

One singer: Johnny Rotten (Sex Pistols)
One Lead Guitarist: Mick Jones (The Clash)
One Extra Guitarist: Dallas Green (Alexisonfire)
One Bass Player: Kim Deal (The Pixies)
One Keyboard player: Kathryn Calder (Immaculate Machine)
One Drummer: Matt Helders (Arctic Monkeys)
Just a little note in my choosing, the people I chose can all sing as well so that was a big influence, kinda went for a punk outlet in the front (lead and first guitar) and more of a poppy/dance rock thing in the back end with keyboard and drums and went a little emo on second guitar with dallas

Singer - I love female singers in hard rock bands so i'd go with Lacey Mosley from Flyleaf or if i were to choose a male singer i'd go with Josh Todd from Buckcherry Lead Guitarist - Steve Holt - 36 Crazy Fists Extra Guitarist - I'd rather not have one but if i had to choose one I'd have to go with Synyster Gates from Avenged Sevenfold Bass Player - Fiedly - KoRn
Keyboard player - I hate keyboards but if i HAD to choose i'd go with whoever does the keyboards in Murder City Devils OR Scary kids scaring kids. Drummer - Dave Grohl

Josh Todd is an awesome choice. I love Buckcherry.
Singer - Brandon Boyd from Incubus. He has a voice for every type of music.
Lead Guitarist - Chris Shiflett. he played in No Use for a Name and Foo Fighters. Lucky bitch.
Rhythm Guitarist - Rhythm guitarists are a waste of time. They only play rhythm because they can't play. If I had too I'd got for Travis Stever from Coheed and Cambria. He's an awesome lead.
Bass - Anyone who picks Flea doesn't know what they are taqlking about. He's the most over rated bass Player in the History of the World. Plus if anyone ever wonders why the Chillis suck live its because Flea is sloppy as shit. My bass player is Matt Freeman from Rancid.
Drums- He may be a Hollywood rich bitch but there is none better than Travis Barker. Some of the stuff he does with a kit blow my mind.
Singer: Jeff Scott Soto (Journey)
Lead Guitarist: Steve "Steamin" Clark (Def Leppard)
Extra Guitarist: Phil Collen (Girl & Def Leppard)
Bass Player: John Deacon (Queen)
Keyboard player: Tommy Mandel (Bryan Adams)
Drummer: Deen Castronovo (Journey)
I had a really hard time coming up with a singer. Joe Elliott would've been a natural fit with Clark and Collen on guitars, however, back in his hey-day I don't think that his voice, with his wailing scream, is appropriate for this band. While now in the 90's and with their new releases, he's shown that he can sing the low end. Jeff Scott has however a voice that can sing across so many vocal "regions" that it's amazing, and with his "soft" tone, I think he's more appropriate for this band line-up.
Questioning Clark & Collen is guitars is certainly acceptable, however I feel that the two with their ability to come up with "rythmatic" tones (see Hysteria, Die Hard the Hunter & Gods of War) certainly make up for an amazing match up especially when given Castronovo and Tommy Mandel.
Match them all up together and not only do you have one of the most talented bunch, but also a group of individuals who all are able to contribute in different ways, to bring together a sound that would likely mesh well. Not to mention, all of them can sing - amazingly. Castronovo for example now sings the parts that Steve Perry used to sing for Journey.
One singer - Geoff Tate (Queensryche)
One Lead Guitarist - Eric Clapton
One Extra Guitarist - Eddie Van Halen (Van Halen)
One Bass Player - Vic Wooten (Bayla Fleck)
One Keyboard player - Dennis DeYoung (Styx)
One Drummer - Neil Pert (Rush)
