Maximo Park have announced two small shows ahead of the appearance at this year's Great Escape Festival.

The band are promoting the shows as 'warm-up' gigs to larger dates later in the year. Maximo Park will perform at The Sugarmill in Stoke on May 8, 2012 and The Duchess in York on May 9, 2012.

The band have been working on their third album, and are expected to showcase new material at their 2012 shows. Tickets for their UK tour go on general sale Friday (March 9) at 9am.

    Maximo Park shows coming up.

Radiohead will play three UK dates in October: two nights at London's O2 Arena and one at the Manchester Arena. Tickets will be available via a fan club pre-sale on Wednesday morning, and on general sale from Friday.

The band are currently touring in support of their eighth studio album, The King of Limbs, which received a favourable review from the Guardian's Alexis Petridis last year:
If the overall impression is of a band so lost in sound they forgot to write songs, you have to admit the sound is pretty fascinating.

Listening to it, you're reminded that Radiohead are the only band of their size and status that seem driven by an impulse to twist their music into different shapes. As The King of Limbs proves, when it works it's glorious, but that impulse doesn't always yield perfect results. Still, listening to Radiohead try is never less than intriguing; after all, their peers aren't trying at all.
    • Will you try to get tickets? Have you been put off by recent, none-too-favourable live reviews? What would your dream Radiohead setlist be? Let us know below.
I saw Radiohead play Glastonbury one year and they were utterly stunning. I've not heard the new album, but I can't imagine that it's a) bad, or b) effected their ability to be freaking amazing live.

I've heard rumblings that Radiohead might be headlining Hard Rock Calling too.

Also, John Fogerty has confirmed he's playing Hard Rock Calling supporting Springsteen

What dates you over and what you looking to see/hear, Suff? I have a couple of promoter friends in London that may be able to advise, or at least point you in the right direction.

Jack White streamed his Friday night New York concert in full online, and you can watch it below on Gigwise.

Directed by Hollywood actor Gary Oldman and in partnership with American Express and YouTube, White performed tracks from his debut solo album 'Blunderbuss' alongside classic songs from his various musical incarnations during the show.

The show, which is nearly two hours long (make sure you're sitting comfortably) sees White perform solo hits such as 'Sixteen Saltines' alongside White Stripes hits such as 'Hotel Yorba' and 'Seven Nation Army'.

White recently made his solo debut in the UK with a London liveshow. He is currently on course to score a No.1 album in both the UK and the US with his debut solo album - but also recently confirmed he had already had twelve new tracks ready for a follow up record.

We've got a few White fans, right?

Reformed rock four-piece Skunk Anansie have announced a winter show in London as part of their 2012 European tour.

The band will play live at the O2 Brixton Academy on 1 December, 2012 after reforming in 2009. Tickets are on sale now.

"It's been very natural and unforced - a bit like coming home," said frontwoman Skin of the reunion and 2010 album 'Wonderlustre'. "We have a huge fan base that was screaming out for us to do something. We got back together because we have a strong chemistry.

"We're very proud of our past work, but what drives us is the future."
I love me some Skunk Anansie!
