Having not listened to them for quite some time, and only having hear about an album's worth of material (if that) I'm probably not one to comment, but even though I liked what I heard, I can certainly see how a large section of the general public would actually hate BTBAM.

Well, no shit. They use growls and screams. I'm uploading a bunch of music later, I'll get you their stuff. I really recommend listening to all of their albums.

    Re: General Music Discussion

I'm on facebook and one of my friends was talking about getting a bunch of people for Mayhem, so I said I would go. I then said that I would only stay until Megadeth, because I don't care for Godsmack or Disturbed. Basically what I get is her saying "Um megdeath sucks... actually "megashit" ... theyre not even metal, they are whiney little bitches that cry over their music and pretend they can sing... just sayin ".

It doesn't stop there, " um so why are you going to mayhem? just wondering... why dont you sit in your room, with your dick in hand, listening to megadeath?? do us all a favor, because if i see you im just going to laugh in your face... k bye" aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand (after I told her to go listen to Peace Sells), " Ive bothered to go back a lot farther than 1986 little precious, metallica is my favorite band... they will destroy megadeath in any form... that's why they are not considered metal...in...my...giant...book... iii thank you"

Is this really what people have come to? I don't see the point in hating a band so much that you hate their fans. I also don't see a point in being this ignorant. Like, I'm a proud fan of both Metallica and Megadeth. I don't get why anyone would be such an asshole, especially over one band.

    Also, ignore her grammar.

I wish I had FB friends like that, would really help me relieve the stress every once in a while. I just get people hoping that venues burn down because a certain artist is performing there.....

I hate ignorance like that. I hate many bands, but I don't hold it against other people. They wanna like them, fine, just don't push them on me.

    Re: General Music Discussion

JB, seriously, to hell with her. Megadeth are a fine band. In fact, I rate them above Metallica any day, they're one of the few metal bands that I really like, and Mustaine is definitely my favourite metal songwriter, guy is a wordsmith. I find it really stupid when people create either/or fanhoods where you 'can't' be a Metallica fan if you like Megadeth, or, back in the day, you couldn't be an Oasis and Blur fan. Music doesn't work like that - it's bigger than petty fucking feuds.

    Re: General Music Discussion

I'll never understand why people do that. Is it "cooler" to be a Metallica fan? I just don't get it really. Things like this always remind me of the South Park episode where Stan goes Goth and the one kid says something along the lines of "You can't be a non-conformist and NOT drink coffee." I love talking music, I love discussing and debating it, but I hate hate hate people who tell me I listen to shit based on their criteria that's comprised mostly of status and image.

She tried trolling me on Facebook later. That's a whole different story, but I don't see why fans can't mesh together. It happens all the time for everyone else except for her, apparently.
