Music That Impacted Your Life

I think a lot of people turn to music when they are dealing with things in their life, or are trying to get over obstacles. Maybe even to get your mind frame right. Which band/artist has done that for you? Something where you sit down and actually listen to the lyrics, and compare your life, or what's going on at the time to it. For me it's been Bon Jovi. They're not necessarily my favorite band, but I can connect with a lot of the stuff they say. Living on a Prayer was big for me, it really motivated me to make changes in my life. Anyway, who has done that for you, music wise?

Almost a year ago I went through a pretty bad break up. I was with the girl for almost five years and it was really hard to move on. Anyway, as I started slowly getting over the break up I found myself listening to Daughtry. The song "Over You" actually cheered me up and I actually got over it completely. Although, that can also be credited to my current girlfriend more than the music though.

Now I have been trying to make a huge decision in my life and I've been listening to the songs "Warrior" - Kidrock, "Soldiers" - Drowning Pool and "Citizen Soldier" - 3 Doors Down lately. The lyrics have actually been clearing my mind and look into possible future outcomes of the decision.
