So for as long as I can remember Elvis has been the King of Rock, and recent to his death Michael Jackson has become known as the King of Pop. Who do you think will go down as The King of Rap?
I would definitely have to put it on the best selling rapper of all time, Eminem. In my opinion he is the only one who kept the industry alive after 2 Pacs death.
Thoughts?

I would probably have to go with some of the people who brought rap to the mainstream.
I am talking about people like Dr. Dre, Easy E, Snoop Dog, etc...

Guys Like 50, Eminem & Jay - Z are big in the industry but i wouldn't say there big enough to be called the "king" of rap. Like Dak i would consider people like NWA & Snoop as contenders for the king of rap since they were the ones who helped bring Rap into mainstream.

B.I.G. IMO will ALWAYS be king of rap, Tupac is up there right with him. Jay, Em, Nas are right next to them. After that there is no one mainstream that gets my vote unless im forgetting someone

Always preferred Pac over Biggie tbh. Both were pretty damn big & are contenders for the king of rap but if i had to choose one i would give the title to Pac.
Like I said guys like Em & Jay are very big in the industry but i don't think either of them have done enough for the industry to be called the king of rap.

Big was such a lyricist its hard for me to put Pac ahead of him, I don't think anyone will ever be able to settle on either one being king of rap so I say they are the kings of rap. Jay & Nas (Eminem when he is serious) will always be behind those two.
Hell imo Elvis stole all his shit from r&b singers and just added a little extra

Biggie had like no catalog. Can't really be a king with less than 4 CDs to your name. Pathetic how Diddy is trying to milk that for all it's worth.
And I buy Elvis was influenced by some old school blues guys etc, but to say he outright stole all his shit is lame to me. Guy was a once in a lifetime performer.
That's like saying current rappers stole all their skills from the pioneers of rap. It just a lame way of putting it in my opinion. I don't see the issue with Elvis being influenced by people. All his stuff was original as far as content.
