Once a bass player for one hit wonders, the Georgia Satellites and The Indigo Girls, you would be suprised to hear that the same man has produced a lot of the artists we listen to today.
AC/DC, Mastodon, Bruce Springsteen, Incubus, and Killswitch Engage have released critically acclaimed albums over the course of the year. What do they have in common?
They were produced by Brendan O Brien, and these albums contain combinations of two things: the ideals of expansion and exploring your sounds and returning to the form your fans are used to hearing.
They aren't the only ones who have worked with Brendan, who is my favorite producer at the moment, and, of all time.
Pearl Jam, Rage Against The Machine, Bob Dylan, Korn, and others have crossed paths with him. And Aerosmith and My Chemical Romance are yet to take the leap.
