Yeah, the season looks pretty good. Lets hope that its not just one sided, like you know where one team wins the whole time. I really hope Mir whoops Nogueira.
The purpose of this entire season has been invalidated with the announcement that Lesnar is getting a shot at Couture in November. The "Interim" title belt that Noguiera is carrying is basically null and void now thanks to Dana White.
If I were Mir and Nog, after all the work put in on this season, when it comes time for the fight, take a cue from Never Back Down (god I never thought I'd say that). Both simultaneously drop to one knee, tap the mat twice and walk out in protest.
But yeah, I'm still looking forward to this season, I wanna see who they're bringing in from the independent scene to be the next generation of stars. I'm thinking Nog's team is going to be the one whipping Mir.
The entire purpose of every year of TUF, save for The Comeback and the year that Franklin was one of the coaches, was to build up tension so the coaches could eventually fight, whether it be for a Championship or just a mega fight like Ortiz/Shamrock. This fight seriously doesn't have NEAR the appeal now for even me, a hardcore MMA fan, because all the luster was taken off the belt that Nog busted his ass fighting and choking out Timmay to get. And it's all thanks to Dana White.
I hope that they recognize Nog as the Interim Champion still, and have him and Mir fight for that belt, then an undisputed title match between the winner of Nog/Mir and Lesnar/Couture. IF they don't even recognize that Nog is the Interim Champion, then I do think Nog and Mir should do a drop and tap in protest and walk.
