Fabrício “Morango” Camoes (9-4), who trains with famed bjj champion Ronaldo Jacare, is riding an impressive six fight winning streak - his past two victories coming in impressive fashion in EliteXC fights over Joe Camacho and Sam Morgan. Camoes now appears poised to take on EliteXC lightweight champion KJ Noons.
“I’m waiting, I’m looking forward to fight him (KJ Noons)," Noon's told Tatame. "Inside EliteXC everybody had the chance and lost, but I’m here. I’m with six victories, two inside Elite and I want to face him. I'm coming to get his belt”
Camoes also commented on Noon's stalemate regarding the EliteXC, which included turning down a fight with Nick Diaz.
“I don’t know if he’ll accept a fight with me," said Camoes They offered Nick Diaz and he didn’t want it. The event is negotiating to try to put me in a fight with him, I hope he accepts it. The champ has to fight whoever the event wants. Nick Diaz has qualities to steal his belt, and I want to get into this battle too. If you have the belt, you need to be prepared to fight everybody. Every fighter that goes to EliteXC wants to fight for the belt, nobody signs a contract thinking about fighting the worst opponent."
KJ turned down Diaz? That is not a champion, I love KJ as a fighter... but that is a pussy move.

KJ Noons knows deep down in the depths of his soul that he can't beat Diaz again. He knows it and that's why he's ducking him. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Diaz mark, but something has to come from a guy turning down a fight with a guy not once, but twice. If he's on instructions from EliteXC higher ups to hold off til they get the PPV deal done, then whatever. He should do fight #2 before then, and then have the rubber match be on the PPV after Diaz lays waste to him.
Lays waste on him? That remains to be seen, as I said, I love KJ but I just don't like him turning Diaz down, if Nick wants him to beat him again then let him.

It's obvious from here that Diaz has the psychological advantage over Noons somehow because if he didn't KJ wouldn't hesitate to put Diaz in his place. Diaz already has the battle half won before he even steps into the cage.
That's why I say Diaz will lay waste to Noons if he gets another crack at him.
