In continuing their efforts to find competition for Urijah Faber, the WEC has just signed Wagnney Fabiano, the featherweight champion of the now defunct IFL. Fabiano already has sights set on Faber.
“Faber is the best of the world now. To beat him, I think you have to be in a good shape. He’s an expert fighter and he has a good gas, it’s complicated to beat a guy like him. You have to set a good game plan and be calm and watch the elbows, because if he hits you it can change a whole fight”, said the Nova União athlete.
Fabiano most recently defeated Shad Lierly by knockout in the first round in his only title defense. He is 10-1 overall. His one loss came from a decision loss to Jeff Curran.
No word on when Fabiano will make his promotional debut, but keep it locked on Fightline for updates on Wagnney Fabiano, the WEC, and as always for the latest news coming out of the world of MMA.
Woah what a fucking fight this will be, I wouldn't say biggest competition because that will still have been Pulver, but it's new competition.
