Coutue Denied Entrance Cage Following Silvas Win

If you ever wondered what it's like for Randy Couture when he goes behind enemy lines as a cornerman for his Xtreme Couture fighters at a UFC event, a report received by MMAPayout.com provides a glimpse.

Couture was in Wanderlei Silva's corner for his fight against Keith Jardine. However, following Silva's spectacular KO victory, Couture and Shaun Tompkins were reportedly denied entrance into the octagon for the post fight celebration by UFC officials. The official explanation was that the doctor needed to attend to Jardine before anyone was allowed into the cage. However, when other cornermen were allowed into the cage, Couture and Tompkins were still denied access.

The UFC has steadfastly refused to acknowledge Couture's existence, let alone presence, on its broadcasts since its dispute with the former Heavyweight Champion began last fall.

It's hard for me to pick a side in this really.

Like for one that is a little unfair however Couture is being a bitch as well, if he just fought the two fights he'd be gone by now.

I beg to differ, he wanted to end his career on a high, he beat Sylvia and since he couldn't fight Fedor he didn't want to fight at all.

A favor by letting him quit just as they signed Big Nog while he is champ, that's a pretty hefty favor.

I don't know any organization that just lets a champ walk out.

Im not saying its not valid, but its sort of a bitch move to just not let them and lie to there face, Im sure telling them hes not getting face time because of the lawsuit wouldn't have hurt his feelings. Randys a professional about this whole thing even if hes being stupid.

It's not really up to the security guards to say something like that.

They were probably just told do not let Randy in and given no reason why, while we may all know the reason it's really not a security guards job to disclose the information.
