BJ Penn called out Georges St. Pierre after his patient annihilation of a very game Sean Sherk, and it seems that Penn isn't the only one interested in a rematch between the current UFC light and welterweight champions.
"I know I’d look forward to seeing it," said Sean Sherk at the UFC 84 post fight press conference.
Sherk should know, he now holds the distinction of being beaten by both men. When asked who he would favor in the fight, however, Sherk was noncommittal.
“Both of their striking is good, both of their ground is good. Styles make matchups and it would depend upon who was on that day."
Dana White, who has stated that he would like for Penn to clean out the lightweight division first before moving back up to welterweight, also seemed open to the idea of allowing Penn to move up; after one more fight at lightweight.
“I think there’s one more interesting fight for him (at lightweight), but it isn’t something I wouldn’t talk to him about,” said White.
I would personally love to see this fight, as well as the possibility of having the first ever simultaneous two weight UFC champ.

Penn needs to assert his dominance in his own division first. I think that Dana should basically put that on the line, beat the three best guys in the division other than Sherk and you get your match with GSP.
Should Florian win against Huerta and Mac Danzig beats Guida, it should be Florian .v. Danzig for the #1 contendership.
If Huerta and Danzig win, I say Huerta gets first crack, and Danzig takes the winner of Huerta/Penn.
As for the third guy, I dunno who the hell they would give to Penn after that...
Tyson Griffin is due for his break to, stop feeding the guys nubs already, SERIOUSLY. This guy not only beat Urijah Faber but ko'd him the hard way, had won 8 fights in a row before losing in a PRELIM? hes won three fights since then and looks to be notching another one soon.
Please give the kid a top ten fighter, PLEASE.

Seriously though, Penn is not a natural 155 fighter, he should move back up to 170 to attempt to assert more dominance, if he fails then what does it really matter? It's GSP, there is no shame in losing to the man.
