DREAM's third event, which included the organization's light grand prix quarterfinals, has concluded.
The event took place at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
Eddie Alvarez, Tatsuya Kawajiri and Caol Uno all advanced in the tournament. Additionally, popular Americans Nick Diaz and Jason "Mayhem" Miller were also victorious at the event, which aired live on HDNet in North America.
DREAM, which was born out of a partnership between the former K-1 HERO'S organization and former executives of PRIDE Fighting Championships, launched earlier this year.
The full results from DREAM.3 included:
* Takeshi Yamazaki def. Shoji Maruyama via unanimous decision
* Jason Miller def. Katsuyori Shibata via TKO (punches) -- Round 1, 6:57+
* Melvin Manhoef def. Dae Won Kim via TKO (strikes) -- Round 1, 4:08#
* Daisuke Nakamura def. Bu Kyung Jung via KO (punch) -- Round 2, 1:05
* Nick Diaz def. Katsuya Inoue TKO (Towel, Punches) Round 1, 6:45
* Tatsuya Kawajiri def. Luiz Firmino via unanimous decision*
* Eddie Alvarez def. Joachim Hansen via unanimous decision*
* Caol Uno def. Mitsuhiro Ishida via submission (rear-naked choke) -- Round 2, 2:39*
* - Lightweight grand prix bout
+ - Middleweight grand prix bout

Very impressive for Nick Diaz seeing as he had to cut weight the night before the fight due to only being told he was on the card the day before after being on and off.

Yeah well he was letting him self go apparently due to thinking he wasn't on the card and then he got the call a day before so he had to pull an all nighter with his coach to cut.

Just saw this a couple nights ago on HDNet, I wouldn't say it was as good as DREAM.1 but still a solid card. Mayham was the highlight for me but does anyone else really like how Melvin Manhoef looked?
