In a statement made by Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira after the news comming out about his intentions of opening a new trianing facility with Anderson Silva, Mr. Nogueira stated that he will be fighting for the UFC in August.

This will mean Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira will be added to the UFC 87 card, however no mention of who he will be fighting. Many Critics suggest that it could be Mir or the winner of Vera and Werdum.
I'm guessing that it is going to be Mir but I would definitely go for either Vera or Werdum as a plan B, it is just adding to what is shaping up to be a good card already with only 2 fights on it.

I think it will be winner of Werdrum/Vera, Mir still needs to fight some decent top competition before he gets a shot, espicially before Vera who pretty much owned Mir.

He should face someone like Gonzaga first, Vera and Wedrum have both beaten quality opponents in the UFC, Vera beating Mir and doing decent against a clutching Sylvia and Werdrum beat Gonzaga who has Mir beat...Lesnar o no be afraid.

He did go missing from 11/18/2006 to 10/20/2007 because he couldn't agree a contract with the UFC, there was a lot of speculation to him going elsewhere.... remember?
