"DREAM 2," the second event held under the new DREAM banner, took place today at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.

Shinya Aoki met Gesias Calvancante in a rematch from the first DREAM event, and the first round of the DREAM middleweight tournament concluded.

The event will be shown via tape delay on HDNet this coming Saturday, May 3, at 10:30 p.m. ET. If you don't want to know the results, do not click through for the spoilers.

The official results included:

* Shinya Aoki def. Gesias Calvancante via unanimous decision
* Taiei Kin def. Ikuhisa Minowa via unanimous decision
* Dong Sik Yoon def. Shungo Oyama via unanimous decision
* Zelg Galesic def. Magomed Sultanakhmedov via submission (armbar) -- Round 1, 1:40
* Ronaldo Souza def. Ian Murphy via submission (rear-naked choke) -- Round 1, 3:38
* Kiyoshi Tamura def. Masakatsu Funaki via TKO (strikes) -- Round 1, 0:57
* Gegard Mousasi def. Denis Kang via submission (triangle choke)-- Round 1, 3:10
* Kazushi Sakuraba def. Andrews Nakahara via submission (neck crank) -- Round 1, 8:20
This is has to bring a huge smile to the face of Dana man, Kang turned the UFC down and then in his next fight gets owned in the first round.

I want to see Sakuraba's submission, a neck crank? I wondering how that looks.

And I also wonder what kind of war Aoki and Gesias put on

I didn't realize Kang turned down the UFC so I can't really laugh but I have to feel sad he's canadian.
