WEC middleweight Chael Sonnen will face the unbeaten Bryan Baker on Wednesday, March 26 at the Versus-televised WEC 33: Marshall vs. Stann event from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
Baker (2-0 WEC, 6-0 overall), who trains with Thomas Denny's Team Wildman, made his WEC debut last September stopping The Ultimate Fighter 3's Jesse Forbes. Baker stayed undefeated in December by winning a split decision against Eric Schambari.
This is the third opponent change for Baker, who was originally scheduled to take on Nissen Osterneck. Logan Clark entered the picture when Osterneck suffered a shoulder injury. A new opponent for Clark will be announced shortly.
Sonnen's rematch for the WEC middleweight belt was officially postponed last Thursday when his original opponent, Paulo Filho, removed himself from the card after checking into a rehab center for substance abuse treatment.
