I just wanted to see who people think are the top fighters in the sport today.
This is my list. I only named UFC fighters, 'cause I havent watched any fights outside the UFC for so long now.
18. Ben Saunders: Loved this guy right since the UF. In his last fight he was devastating. He will be a champ one day. 17. Thiago Silva: Beats everyone he faces, I would love to see him fight Rashaad. 16. Kurt Pellegrino: Awesome fighter. Lost to Diaz in a fluke. Would not happen again. Reminds me so much of Florian. Too bad he is stuck in such a packed division. 15. Frank Edgar: Almost a perfect fighter. Just a little too small imo. Maybe he should fight at 145 lbs. 14. Mike Swick: Seems unbeatable. Looks amazing at 170. 13. Clay Guida: I love wrestlers and I've always loved this guy. His fights always entertain me (I love the ground game more than the stand up). He is fighting really well right now. 12. Rampage: He is great. Lost to Griffin, but Griffin is great also. He was also out of shape in that fight. His win over Wanderley doesnt mean much as Silva is obviously on his last leg, but Rampage should still be considered a top fighter. 11. Demian Maia: A submission machine. He is a wizard on the ground. 10. Josh Koscheck: People dont like him, but I do. Great wrestler, great striker, great fighter. 9. Thiago Alves: This guy is a machine. In his last fight, he completely dominated Kosh. He should be getting a Title shot soon. 8. Forrest Griffin: Lost to Rashaad, but I think it was more a distraction. He got caught, everyone does. I still think he is great. He will return stronger than ever. His endurance is unmatched. 7. Rich Franklin: At one point he was considered the greatest fighter in the world...then came the Spider. Everyone loses to Silva. He is still amazing. Henderson will lose to Rich. 6. Lyoto Machida: I would love to see him fight Anderson Silva. Lyoto might be the smartest fighter in MMA today. 5. Rashad Evans: Undefeated and now a Champion. Great hands. His conditioning is also great. 4. Kenny Florian: Behind only to BJ Penn in the Lightweight division. Cant wait until they fight. Hasnt lost in years. 3. BJ Penn: I think this is his prime. Unlike before, he now trains seriously and doesnt party anymore (much lol). I still think he will lose to GSP at 170 lbs. 2. Anderson Silva: Can anyone beat this guy? Well, Cote was doing well against him before that freak accident. At 185 it seems he is untouchable, but at 205 I can see a few guys beating him. 1. GSP: This is what a fighter should look like. Perfect in every way. He is fast, a genius on the ground, and his standing is flawless. He can also draw...people love to watch this guy.
I didnt name Brock, because 2 wins mean nothing. If he beats Mir, I'll give him credit. If he beats Mir, Ill stick him in my top 7. I still think the HW division is so weak right now. I didnt name Mir, because even tho he beat Nog, the truth is Nog looked old and way past his prime. I didnt name guys like Lidell, Wanderley, Nog or Couture, cause to me they are all past their prime. 2 years in this sport is a lifetime.
I would have named Fedor, but again, he hasnt fought since Big Tim. He was the greatest of all time and will be remembered as such, but age catches up with everyone. He is still my all time favorite tho. Cant wait for his fight against AA.

Do you have a reason not to give The Half Boy your vote for the Hall of Fame?
In no particular order as well I Gotta go with Silva,GSP, BJ penn, Evans, and soon to be Lesnar, he's learning very quickly and could be unstoppable in the HW divison if he beats Mir imo

Frank Mir, Eddie Alvarez, Rich Franklin, Josh Barnett, Mike Brown, Antonio Nogueira Urijah Faber, Sean Sherk, Lyoto Machida, Wanderlei Silva, Tim Sylvia, Tim Couture, Sergei Kharitonov, and Brock Lesnar are all somewhere near there. One solid win could put them into that top 15 category.
