* Welterweight and lightweight fighters will be cast
* Coaches: Michael Bisping (Team U.K.) and either Dan Henderson or Rich Franklin (Team U.S.)
* The season begins taping in January
Seems like a good concept, expect for the fact it's putting to nations against each other.
I don't know why their going for lightweights and Welterweights, while the competition would be more heated if it was Middleweights and Heavyweights.. The choosing for coaches seem to be a good match. Specially having one of the guys who won the TUF title Michael Bisping coaching UK... Plus Rich Franklin or Dan Henderson.

The Lightweights make great TV cos they're all fucking nuts. Penn/Pulver was the best season I've seen. But I really think they need to give TUF a rest now. They're doing two seasons a year or something and it's getting to the point that they are gonna run out of people on planet earth to compete on the show.
I thought the overall quality of the competitors has been down the past couple of seasons. It really does seem like they're starting to scratch the bottom of the barrel in terms of available talent.
That, and it seems like there's too many guys going on the show just to make a name for themselves by doing stupid things.
I really wish they would change up the format of the show and put the emphasis moreso on the actual fighting, instead of on the reality show drama. But in the end, it is a just a reality show and they'll keep going with essentially the same formula until the ratings say it doesn't work.
I'm glad that they change the formula they originally had, where they did challenges completely unrelated to fighting to get to pick the fights, and some people got into the semi's without even having to fight cos that was just fucking awful.

The Lightweight division in the UFC is already good as it is. The Middleweight is short and so is the Heavyweight division.
As far as the UK vs the US, I actually like it, it will make for good television. By right tho, they should've brought a Brazilian team, as they are by far the best mma fighters.
