Women in Mix Martial Arts

So i saw some women fighting in the Elite XC. They looked pretty good in action too, but women beating the hell out of eachother? I don't know, I really don't agree men should fight eachother like two pitbulls. So women fighting eachothers is even worst.

I'm not sure how fans are excited to see the biggest badass women on the planet and seeing them knock out other womens. Having a women mix martial artist as a wife is another deal. You probally have to be a mix martial artist yourself so she won't beat the living hell out of you. Even then they still might kick the living hell out of eachother. Will fighting in MMA give these ladies any side affects if they ever want to have a baby? Are they too manly to consider to have one?

So are you excited to see women in mix martial arts? what you make of it?

Re: Women in Mix Martial Arts

Gina Carano is such a little badass. Rawr.

This is a no-brainer for me. If they have the skills and the guts to get in the cage, then let 'em go. The only thing I would disagree with would be men fighting women, and that's only because men (on average) are heavier and stronger so they would have an unfair advantage.

Having a MMA fighter as a wife? What about having a MMA fighter as a husband? If punches are being thrown in any relationship then it clearly isn't working...

If you don't agree with it, then you don't have to watch it. Nobody's asking you to get in the cage, right?

Gina Carano is fun to watch.

If you had Chyna vs. Nicole Bass....that would not be so fun to watch.

I agree to both statements. The second however, very very true, and very very funny lol...

Women in MMA is a good thing for the sport. As previously stated, if they have the skills & guts, then why not. I'm all for it.

I think this states it perfectly. Nice to see you branching out to different areas of the board though factum.

I actually love the Women fighting, they seem to have more heart than the guys imo.

The UFC should start promoting them and maybe they should start by having an all girls "Ultimate Fighter".

Dana White doesn't feel there is a legit market for women's MMA, so it won't be in the UFC any time soon.

Re: Women in Mix Martial Arts

I can't see women making it into UFC for a while, but I can see it happening if women start to make an impact in the business.

I can understand why some people may not agree with it, but as has previously been stated, if the skill is there then there shouldn't be a problem. MMA isn't about destroying your opponent with violence for the most part anyway, it's about having the rights skill set to take the other fighter out and having enough respect to say either "They fought a hard match" or "They owned me and I know it".

MMA > Everything else.

Re: Women in Mix Martial Arts

As much as I agree with the motion "If they have the skills and the guts to get in the cage, then let 'em go", I personally don't want to watch women go at it in MMA. There is no paticular reason for this, I just don't think it's right.
