Well.. it makes sense for them as they are huge in the Japanese market. Honestly, if UFC thought they were going to just monopolize MMA..there's no fucking way.. too much money involved and big businessmen around the world are interested.. It's quickly becoming the new boxing. that means.. celebrities, gambling, everything..

Especially since Japanese fans are interested in a totally different product than American fans.
Japenese fans have a respect for the grappling and ground game. They respect submissions as well.
Many American fans boo if this happens in a match. They only want to see a knockout. >.>
