Yeah so Forrest gets taken down, Slammed and Rampage also does all the damage in round three.
I guess those failed Triangles and wiffed leg kicks count for something.
Forrest was the aggressor, Rampage retreated nearly the entire round. When he did land punches, Forrest punched back and got the better of the exchanges. There was no takedown in Round 3.
Maybe this is where your score differs from the judges?

First off Dak I'm sorry that agressor argument is stupid (I'm lazy I don't want to think of fancy words Lol)
Liddell has made his living off being defensive, so has Lyoto (unfortunately), Anderson Silva does the same he doesn't rush in he waits back.
Forrest would throw more shots (like in round 3) but he wouldn't land any Rampage would block them, but Rampage would throw less but land almost all of them.
I can see how some may think Forrest won easily but not 49 that's just stupid it drives me crazy makes me want to kill emos...sorry shaun.

It may be hard for you to argue about the "agressor" since there is really no argument there. That is one of the factors the judges take into consideration when scoring.
Liddell doesn't really retreat (like Rampage was doing last night), he is a counter puncher. He doesn't back up he waits for the other person to throw a punch and then he counters.
Retreating while getting your leg chopped down will not be a strategy fighters will employ in future fights I would guess.
Forrest pushed the action in the fight and while Rampage landed a few punches, most of the rounds were controlled by Forrest.

Effective Striking, Grappling, Aggression and Octagon Control.
Rampage won the other three in that round, so I don't think thats a great argument.
50 leg kicks > 10 punches.
Octagon was totally controlled by Forrest.
I might give "grappling" to Rampage, but there was little of that since he was getting tagged with leg kicks most of the fight. That's 3/4 for Forrest.
Maybe you should rewatch the fight since you were mistaken about the phantom takedown in Round 3...
