He would defenitly win by submission. Now I don't like Tim Sylvia, but he has more skill than Kimbo. And if he couldn't knock out Monson, I don't think Kimbo will.
Sylvia always played everything safe though.

Not always, just recently. Slyvia is a very good fighter but I don't know what went on with him in the UFC where he decided that his best asset (his power) became almost secondary to his clinch and his light jabs. Even with that said I'm really shocked he didn't go out of his way to change his style after Couture schooled him with decent boxing and head movements.
Monson was just a product of not being able to deal with Slyvias size, Even when he got in Tim's guard he couldn't land any ground and pound.

Shaw Responds To Jeff Monson Calling Out Kimbo SliceDoing his best Brett Rogers impersonation, Jeff Monson recently released a video calling out Kimbo Slice. Monson decided to go the video route because as he put it, "I know the (explitive) doesn't read."
During the video tirade, Monson called on EliteXC President Gary Shaw to make the fight happen; today the younger Shaw, EliteXC Vice President and matchmaker Jared Shaw responds.
"Get some wins and then maybe we'll put him in line down the road to face Kimbo," said Shaw on Monson, who has won only two of his past five fights. "If we fought every person that's called out Kimbo or that wants to fight Kimbo we'd be fighting everybody from a 3rd grader in Duluth to a 65 year old in Boca Raton. So take a number, get in line and get some wins; then we'll talk."
It seems that Monson was trying to follow the trail blazed by Brett Rogers who successfully lobbied to face Kimbo through insulting him personally at a post fight press conference after the inaugural CBS show and posting an open letter, further attempting to humiliate Kimbo.
The move worked as Rogers will now likely face Kimbo on the third CBS show tentatively scheduled for this October. Other strong possibilities for that show include a rematch between KJ Noons and Nick Diaz should Diaz make it past ground specialist Thomas Denny on July 26.
So Monson needs more wins to get on Kimbos level? right on Shaws.

Yeah Monson you need a record like James Thompson, 7 losses out of your last 10 fights, or like Tank, who has 8 losses out of his last 10 fights. Monson has only won 7 of his last 10 fights with his only losses coming to two top 10 Heavyweights and Pedro Rizzo.

Yeah, that is ridiculous.
It is obvious they are feeding Kimbo fighters only to make him look good.

And that really isn't the problem. The kat is new the sport, and should be fighting cans to get settled in.
My problem is the main event slots and the hype that declares him a top heavyweight.
This is why I enjoy the UFC's handling of Brock. The dude fought a former champion who had skills that were Brock's biggest weakness. He didn't win, but he put on a great showing, earned some respect and is now fighting another dangerous opponent in his 3rd match.
Like I said, it's not Kimbo I have an issue with, it's how elite XC is handling him.

I have an issue with ESPN not only featuring Kimbo on a segment for Sportscenter but also putting him on the cover of their magazine. Yeah, he has an interesting story and looks crazy, but if you want to introduce the world to MMA, this is NOT the poster boy.
