EliteXC president Gary Shaw responded in harsh fashion to Dana White's assertions that the UFC's lightweight champion BJ Penn could defeat EliteXC heavyweight Kimbo Slice.
"Dana White is a jerkoff," Shaw said via conference call. "That’s what Dana White is, a fucking idiot, and you can quote me on that. If he cared about mixed martial arts and the sport instead of caring about his big ass swimming pool and his own personal gains, he’d understand that statements like that make someone into a jerk. First of all, I love BJ Penn and he is a friend of mine. Kimbo Slice, one shot, would knock BJ Penn out, a 155 pounder. But they are never going to fight, it is an idiotic statement from a complete idiot… Dana White’s an idiot. And if he wasn’t an idiot, May 31 would have been the UFC instead of EliteXC. I rest my case."
Kimbo remained humble when asked about White's comments.
"You know," said Kimbo. "It’s a free country and everyone can have their own opinion."
That was a pretty odd comment to make.

I seem to remember a very small fighter he would go in and submit these massive roid heads, what was his name...o Yea Royce Gracie, and I know Shaun disagrees with me here but I believe Penn's BJJ is better than Royce's, I think BJ could beat Kimbo.

I don't entirely disagree with you thew, I think Technically for his time, Royces BJJ was more dominate than BJs. I think BJ has a better BJJ game now but its a lot harder for Penn to use it like Royce did just because of the evolution of the sport. BJ would tap Kimbo in about 5 seconds though just because Kimbo is a terrible fighter.
Either way This is olllllllld news from last month.
