A new format this year to start out. Dana was always bothered about people who got on the show and then just kind of gave up so this time around they have to earn their spot. They started out with 32 fighters and there will be 16 fights with the winners getting a spot on the show.
So this is the official discussion thread for this season of The Ultimate Fighter.

So, who watched the first episode?
There were some pretty decent fights and there are supposed to be some even better ones next week. This season seems like it is going to be pretty good watching Rampage and Forrest interact. Forrest is always hilarious to watch though.

Preview for next week:
The final 8 elimination fights take place to see who will make it into the house. A brutal knockout silences the gym. In the end, 16 fighters are left standing to compete for the UFC® contract.

I watched it... it was very different, but I liked it. They all turned up to fight, so they should all be prepared to fight at the drop of a hat.
Forest and Rampage were funny during the fights with their comments, Rampage especially. There were some good fights in those pre-lims. That one guy pissed Dana off though, just sitting on the other guy punching him in the ribs ... Ramgage came out with the quote of the night, "Dana, that's your next Ultimate Fighter!"
I can't wait to see the next episode. This KO sounds brutal!
Re: The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rampage vs. Team Forrest
yes, i watched it too, i really enjoyed it and i like that.. Jeremy mays i believe his name is? the one that beat rampages big bald friend, im rooting for him, all the way, not to mention i am stoked for Forrest to fight Rampage
Re: The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rampage vs. Team Forrest
I haven't watched it yet... still sitting in my Tivo. I like the idea of the fighters fighting their way onto the show though. Some of the guys they had in the last two seasons were just embarrassing.
"That guy don't listen I'm going to write that down...damn I don't know how to spell what I wanna say. "
He also said at one point:
"Damn! That is all I got wrote for that guy Damn!"
...lol

Re: The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rampage vs. Team Forrest
My only thing was that in most of the fights, the fighters seemed very sloppy and amateur. I understand that they were fighting on incredibly short notice, but none of them really seemed to yet possess a skill set significant enough to be a force in the UFC, except possibly that really quick fight they only showed the highlights of. The first guy had lots of power and decent accuracy, but he threw almost nothing but telegraphed haymakers. Hopefully@ least a few guys on the show will be really good, because the MW division is really weak right now.

I was thinking the same thing.
But they will get quite a bit of training on the show so I think we will see a couple of good fighters emerge.
It should be interesting.
