Fedor vs Couture in UFC not completely dead

So in a recent ESPN article one of Fedor's reps stated that he would soon announce a split with M1. Dana White has already expressed an interest to re-open negotiations with Fedor and Couture regarding a fight in the Octagon.

Monte Cox however, has stated that Fedor still belongs to M1 and there will be no split.

I hope this leads to a fight in the UFC. I think that is where Randy needs to finish his career. And honestly, I think Randy's best chance of beating Fedor is tying him up in a clinch against the cage and using his elbows and dirty boxing to open a cut.

For some reason when they designed the Fedor robot in Russia they made his skin as thin as paper.

Re: Fedor vs Couture in UFC not completely dead

I think at this point the only way for this to happen is for Dana White to step out of the picture and let Fedor negotiate directly with Lorenzo Fertita. The only way they are going to let the fight happen is if Fedor is under UFC contract.

It is a longshot, but never say never.

I think the problem is honestly with Fedor's management. They put in all kinds of needless stipulations regarding events in Russia, picking Fedor's opponents and including a ton of other Red Devil fighters on each card.

I think they need to give that up, and Dana needs to let Fedor fight in Sambo tournaments (because honstly, no one can touch him, it's not like he will be injured).

I agree. Both sides need to make some concessions. But with Dana calling Fedor's management "crazy Russians" in interviews, I just don't think it would have the right atmosphere for negotiations. Fedor and his management feel insulted (as they should) and I think if the UFC wants this deal to happen the owners should talk to Fedor directly.
