This sucks. If Mirko opted out of his UFC contract and is now simply going back to beating up small Japanese HWs and Dos Caras Jr. I think I will loose quite a bit of respect for the guy.
Sure he lost a couple fights in the UFC, but to run away to lesser competition is lame. I assume he will sign with Dream Stage Entertainment/K-1's new promotion.

Yeah, that does suck. I was hoping to see him continue on in the UFC especially since he put on some weight in muscle to see what he could do. Oh well.

I really don't think UFC would just let him out of the contract like that, esp to go to a rival promotion. He had a pro wrestling match about a month or so ago, I hope his announcement doesn't involve a career change...
