Tim Sylvia has been critisized heavily for playing it safe is his matches. I found myself feeling the same way about Chuck Liddell in his fight against Silva because he looked at the clock so many times. Of course it is on a much lower level than how I feel about Sylvia because at least Chuck was being the aggressor, but I did not like him constantly looking at the clock.
To me, it made me like Chuck less to see him playing it safe like that.
What is your take on Chuck constantly looking at the clock?

I don't know.. it's hard for me to get on him because unlike a boxer who is jabbing and then running.. Iceman was the one taking it to Silva and not once did I think Wandi had a chance.

He dazed Liddell.
I admit that Chuck did take it to him, but I really didn't like Chuck watching the clock. It just made me think that he was trying to get out of the match as soon as possible. I don't want to see fighters play it safe.

I think if Chuck hadn't lost to Rampage and Jardine in his last two fights he wouldn't have been looking at the clock so much. He needed this win badly, to get him back on track. So while i was willing him to get that Knock Out blow, I understand and appreciate why he just let the clock run out.
lol Give me a break. He looked at the clock some towards the end of the third round to make sure he paced himself right cause he almost punched himself out trying to knock him out. Its called being smart. Watch the fight again and see how Wandi looked at the clock in the first, second, and third round. This does not mean you are playing it safe but rather seeing how much longer you have to survive a round in Wandi case and seeing if you are on a good pace in Chucks case. Chuck stayed in there and fought the whole time, there is a big difference between that and what Sylvia has been doing.
With Chuck in that third round he had to be careful not to punch himself out and become defenseless because of Wandi's obvious power. Wandi did catch him once or twice but Chuck dominated the fight, period. If you don't like chuck just say you don't like him.

I really used to like Chuck.
He was one of my favorites. I lost a lot of respect for him in this last fight for playing it safe though.
