To be honest I'd find it hard to fight a team mate. However I suppose if it's for a shot at the gold, you have to take it... it may be his only opportunity.

Ortiz would be close to the end of a top 10 list of #1 contenders for me.

I would like to see Forrest vs Rampage tho, that would definitely be a war. Rampage has a better chin tho.

I wouldn't really call running from Wandy in standup and then laying and praying when he took him down as a "decisive" win. That match happened quite a while ago and Tito has been in a slump as of late. The Tito/Rashad match was one of the most piss poor MMA matches in quite a while....almost bordering on Tim Sylvia bad. That will have to be taken into consideration as well.

Rep Power: 3 ![]() ![]() | Re: Chuck vs Wanderlei I really don't think it was that bad. Just on such a great card it seemed slow. On a slower card it wouldn't have looked that bad. I thought it was much more exciting than the machida fight saturday. I wouldn't say Tito has been on a slump @ all. His last 3 losses have come from champions, Liddell twice, and Couture. Before those losses, he was on a 6 fight win streak, and after his 1st loss to Liddell he had another 5 fight win streak. Having to fight against the same victim 3 times can't keep any fighter sharp, so having to fight Chuck after not having a really competitive match in 8 monthes is just as bad as having no matches @ all, maybe worse. He looked good against Rashad until the last round, which was the 1st time he'd really gassed in a fight since his '99 loss to Frank Shamrock. Losses to Chuck or Randy can hardly be considered blemishes on even the best fighters record.

Even with the losses, you know how many PRIDE fans I've had to deal with over the last year or so that claim old Wandy would wipe the mat with Chuck? I want the Iceman to shut everyone up. It's disappointing that he's lost twice (although I do like Rampage, he's a more marketable fighter) recently, but I haven't lost faith in him. Seriously, who cares who lost to who? MMA isn't boxing. There isn't a dominant fighter that wins evry fight.. sometimes it just isn't your night. It won't take away from what should be an exciting action-packed contest.

I like Chuck, but he is a one dimensional fighter. Wandy has a well rounded game. Wandy would take this one easy.
