Multichannel New reported this week that UFC and Spike were on the verge of signing a multi-year, multi-million dollar renewal of the UFC distribution deal.
Sources said the deal would cost Spike upwards of $100 million, and would involve additional seasons of Ultimate Fighter and more live UFC events than the previous agreement which expired this past year.
The latter agreement, I should note, was strictly for live events as the current Ultimate Fighter deal already extends through, I believe, 2008.
