Round 1: The two clinch to open the round with Spengler working for a takedown for quite a while. The two exchange with Spengler landing a punch and Kleinbeck responding with a combination. Spengler turtled up and ate punches as the round ended. 10-9 Kleinbeck.
Round 2: Kleinbeck starts the round working kicks, even throwing out a high kick. Spengler bull-rushes in for the clinch but eats a knee in the groin. We get a stoppage to allow him to recover and we're back after a few minutes. Spengler goes for a clinch again but falls to his back and Kleinbeck follows in with punches. After a while with no response, referee Herb Dean jumps in to stop the bout.
Seth Kleinbeck def. Sam Spengler via TKO (strikes) at 2:55 of Round 2.
Fight #2:
-Chris Cariaso vs. Anthony Figueroa
Round 1: Caraiso comes out swinging, backing Figueroa up from the start. He gets Figueroa down and works from the top position. Figueroa eventually scrambles back to his feet where the two clinch and trade knees, each with one underhook. Caraiso gets a takedown from the clinch but the bell sounds before he can do anything further. 10-9 Caraiso in round one.
Round 2: The two trade early in round two with Figueroa landing the better shots. Caraiso scores with a strong right hand. The two are exchanging furiously again with Figueroa again getting the better. Great round, lots of good striking exchanges. This one is probably 10-9 Figueroa.
Round 3: Caraiso delivers a strong punch early in round three. Figueroa charges in throwing wild bombs. Caraiso clinches and tries going back to the ground, but Figueroa stops the takedown attempt and keeps the fight standing. Caraiso doing the better striking here in round three. 10-9 Caraiso likely. Good fight.
Chris Caraiso def. Anthony Figueroa via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) after 3 Rounds.
Fight #3:
-Rex Richards vs. Ray Seraille
Round 1: The two come out slugging wildly with the fighters clinching up against the cage. The referee seperates the two and they slug again. Richards lands a solid shot and drops Seraille, finishing up with punches for the stoppage.
Rex Richards def. Ray Seraille via KO (punches) at 0:35 of Round 1.
Fight #4:
-Jason Von Flue vs. Luke Stewart
Round 1: Good little first round there. Lots of exchanges on the feet, with both guys landing their share. Stewart had a few takedowns though, and side-control and full mount on the ground. At one point Von Flue took a low blow and needed some time to recover. 10-9 Stewart in round one.
Round 2: Another good round, almost identical to the first. Some exchanges on the feet with both guys landing, and Stewart getting takedowns at will. Stewart was having much more effective ground and pound this round, and almost finished Von Flue very late in the round with a rear naked choke. 10-9 Stewart as we head into the third and final round.
Round 3: And we get a finish before the distance. Stewart was dominating the striking this round as Von Flue seemed gassed. Stewart looked like Nick Diaz in the Robbie Lawler fight, taunting Von Flue in between landing strikes. Stewart jumps on Von Flue's back and sinks in a standing rear naked choke. Von Flue hits the ground and Stewart lets go of the choke and pounds him. Von Flue rolls and Stewart has full mount and pounds for a solid full minute unanswered before Herb Dean finally jumped in and called the stop.
Luke Stewart def. Jason Von Flue via TKO (strikes) at 2:17 of Round 3.
NOTES: They just interviewed Mauricio "Shogun" Rua on the ProElite.com undercard show. Shogun confirmed to the interviewer that he'll be returning to MMA competition in September for the UFC.
Fight #5:
-Mike Pyle vs. Aaron Wetherspoon
Round 1: Good first round. Wetherspoon came out with ferocity, but was ultimately taken down after some missed punches. Pyle controlled much of the round on top of Wetherspoon in half guard pounding him against the cage. He eventually scrambles up and the two spend the rest of the round on the feet. Pyle at one point lands a nice spinning back kick that connected flush. Wetherspoon landed some huge punches though as the round came to a close.
Round 2: Randy Couture is being interviewed for the ProElite.com broadcast in the corner of Mike Pyle here early in round two. He gives his thoughts on the fight thus far and accepts a happy birthday wish from the interviewer. Round was mostly on the feet with Wetherspoon landing the more powerful shots, but Pyle landing good jabs and leg kicks. Tough round to score.
Round 3: Pyle much more aggressive early on in the third. He's landing good knees as Wetherspoon charges in, as well as devastating leg kicks. Pyle takes Wetherspoon down half way through the round and Wetherspoon is bleeding badly - out of the nose it seems. Very effective ground and pound throughout the remainder of the round with Pyle really turning it on in the closing minute. First very definitive round of the fight.
Mike Pyle def. Aaron Wetherspoon via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-27, 30-27) after 3 Rounds.

Round 1: The PPV has started and this is our opener. First update should be any minute now and updates will be faster and more detailed from this point on. Stick with us and keep refreshing for updates!
I have to say off the bat before the fight starts, the production value of this show so far has been awesome. Great camera angles, smooth transitions, and even elaborate pyro for entrance-walks for this - the opening fight! The two have been introduced and round one is underway.
Sharp body kick from Berto to start the round. Berto immediately takes Valenzuela down. He's looking to advance position, but he drops into a leg-lock and is working the heel hook. He gets it and the tap out for the victory.
Edson Berto def. Victor Valenzuela via Submission (heel hook) at 0:47 of Round 1.
Fight #7:
-Paul Buentello vs. Carter Williams

Carter Williams surprisingly takes Buentello down early and is working punches as Buentello scrambles back to his feet. Williams has double underhooks and is working knees to the legs of Buentello. The two are fighting for hand control against the cage and Buentello throws a knee to the body. Not a lot happening up against the cage here in the clinch. Buentello with a knee to Williams' face. The ref seperates the two and we're back on the feet with some distance. Buentello throws a jab out but doesn't land. Carter with a vicious combo but misses on all the punches. Buentello slaps on a guillotine as Carter shoots in, but Carter peels the hands off. Buentello with the foot stomps as the two are again clinched up against the fence. Buentello goes for a sweep takedown, doesn't get it but gets Williams off balance and lands some solid punches. We're clinched against the cage now but the ref breaks them again. They quickly clinch and they're up against the cage again with a little over a minute left in the round. Ref breaks them again. Buentello with a decent uppercut. Williams with a good uppercut in the clinch himself now. Final minute of the round with Buentello landing knees to Williams head standing. Ref breaks them again. They clinch and go to the cage again. Buentello slaps on a guillotine but Williams quickly breaks loose. The two are trading with ten seconds left. Back in the clinch again and the round ends with Williams landing a decent punch.
Round 2: Buentello with an uppercut to start the second round. The uppercut drops Williams immediately and Buentello jumps in for the finish.
Paul Buentello def. Carter Williams via TKO (punches) at 0:10 of Round 2.
Round 1: First of five rounds is underway for this, the Elite XC Middleweight title fight. Villasenor hurts Ninja early with a left hook. Ninja gets Villasenor but he slaps on a guillotine choke. He lets it go and is wall-walking his way back up. He's on his feet now with Ninja grabbing a leg and taking him down. Villasenor sweeps him though and is in side mount now on top of Ninja. Good elbow from Villasenor on top. He stacks up and is hammering down with solid punches connecting flush. Ninja grabs a leg and is twisting around working for a leg submission. The two scramble and we're back on the feet. Ninja comes blazing in, landing some shots but nothing really with any conviction. Ninja gets Villasenor down and is in his half guard. Ninja passes to side mount and is working punches from the top. Ninja looking for mount with the knee-on-belly. He doesn't get it and is back in side mount pounding down with punches. Villasenor works his way up and we're back on the feet with the two slugging it out very intensely. Ninja takes Villasenor down again with a single-leg. He's in Villasenor's half guard now landing punches. Ninja is working for a kimura and the crowd is boo'ing very loudly for some reason. This is a great fight, no reason to boo right now. Ninja gets full mount with five seconds left and the round ends with the two working their way back to the feet.
Round 2: Flying knee from Ninja to open the second. Big right hand from Ninja stuns Villasenor. Another right hook hurts Ninja. Villasenor lands a good shot but Ninja counters. Big uppercut from Ninja. Huge right hand drops Villasenor and Ninja follows in with punches to get the stoppage. Crowd boo's. They seem to be just anti-foreigners at this point.

Fight #9:
-Josh Thomson vs. Nick Gonzalez
Round 1: We touch gloves to start round one. Thomson opens the round with a leg kick. Thomson with a high-kick that's partially blocked. Thomson shoots in and takes Gonzalez down with ease. He's got Gonzalez's back quickly here and is working to get his hooks in. He's got one hook in and is working for the choke. We're rolling around in this position, Thomson trying to advance and Gonzalez trying to escape. Thomson looks to have the choke and crowd is exploding in anticipation of the finish. He sinks it in deeper and Gonzalez taps. Crowd is going berzerk. They really like Josh Thomson.
Josh Thomson def. Nick Gonzalez via Submission (rear naked choke) at 1:42 of Round 1.
Fight #10:
-Cung Le vs. Tony Fryklund
Round 1: Cung Le puts on a complete and total clinic in round one. Too many kicks to count, and punches solid enough that one dropped Fryklund completely flat on his back. To his credit, Fryklund popped up and back to his feet immediately, but only to take an enormous amount of punishment in the rest of the round. Fryklund has tried two spinning back fists, but other than that hasn't done much of anything here in the first. Le totally dominating this fight.
Round 2: Another great round. Le is still dominating the fight bell to bell. Fryklund had two flurries in there where he would just swing wildly hoping for the best, not getting much (if anything). Le is landing his assortment of kicks up and down Fryklund and vicious punches to go with it. Le is totally dominating this fight, even to the point where there should be at least one 10-8 round so far.
Round 3: And we have a finish. Le hurt Fryklund early with a vicious kick. Fryklund showed the pain on his face and Le like a shark smelling blood came in and violently ended the bout. He threw some kicks and a punch drops Fryklund prompting the referee to stop the fight.
Cung Le def. Tony Fryklund via TKO (punches) at 0:25 of Round 3.
Fight #12:
-Frank Shamrock vs. Phil Baroni (Strikeforce MW Title)
Round 1: Baroni gets Shamrock down early. Shamrock goes for an armbar so Baroni backs out and stands it back up. Shamrock nails Baroni and then signals that he's going to put him to sleep. Shortly thereafter he completely drops Baroni with a murderous combination. He follows in with a guillotine, but lets it go to pound down. He hits him with two shots on the top/back of the head and the ref stops it and takes a point. Action resumes and Baroni gets a quick takedown. He doesn't do anything with it and backs out to stand it back up. Shamrock hurts Baroni again with a punch and then a good body kick. Baroni going for a leg, Shamrock is pounding on him while he attempts this takedown. Baroni is turtling up while Shamrock hammers down with vicious elbows and punches. Back on the feet after a scramble and Baroni looks hurt. Shamrock is picking him apart with a wide variety of strikes. Crowd is going ape shit during all of this. Shamrock nails him and taunts him again. He clinches and is peppering Baroni with knees to the head, body and legs. Baroni is swinging wildly but getting nothing. Shamrock with a sharp leg kick and a one-two combo. He clinches and Baroni is throwing desperation uppercuts inside. Shamrock backs out and lands a straight right followed by a leg kick. Baroni looks out of it still. Shamrock with a series of one-twos but Baroni takes Shamrock down. This is an amazing fight. Ten seconds to go and Baroni is on top looking to just ride the clock out and recover between rounds. Remember the point deduction when scoring this one.
Round 2: Round two begins and Baroni seems to be fresher than before. He lands a good shot early on. Shamrock slips throwing a high kick. The two trade huge rights. Solid knee to the body from Shamrock. Leg kick from Shamrock. Baroni with a solid overhand right. Body shot from Baroni. Shamrock flurries with a punch-kick combo. Leg kick from Shamrock. Baroni lands a big shot on Shamrock. Shamrock leg kicks to respond and Baroni blasts him again. Now Shamrock is landing heavy shots. Great, great fight so far. Body shot from Shamrock. Baroni is looking to get tired here. Shamrock rocks Baroni and follows in with a good knee. Baroni goes for a desperation takedown but Shamrock sprawls. He's looking to secure a kimura. Shamrock spins and is taking Baroni's back. He's got his hooks in and is looking for the rear naked choke. He's got it pretty tight and it looks good to me. Ref stops the fight as Baroni is choked completely unconscious. He is out bad and be attending to now.
Frank Shamrock def. Phil Baroni via TKO (rear naked choke) at 4:00 of Round 2 to become Strikeforce Middleweight champion.
Fight #13:
-Duane "Bang" Ludwig vs. Paul Daley (Swing Bout)
Round 1: Not a terribly exciting first round. I'd lean towards Daley. This fight is airing live by the way. Daley got a takedown in the middle of the round and landed a lot of solid leg-kicks and punches. Bang had his moments, but I'd say 10-9 Daley in the first.
Round 2: Fight ends early in the second. Daley drops Bang with a punch and follows in for the finish. Not much else to say other than that. Justified stoppage, good performance from Daley.
Paul Daley def. Duane "Bang" Ludwig via TKO (strikes) at 0:42 of Round 2.
This completely blew UFC 72 out of the watter, Baroni is a warrior fighting threw a tear in the groin area. Frank as much as I hate the guy is exciting as a fighter He just needs to stop fucking throwing punches and knees to the back of the head.
Chung Le = Amazing to
Also...XD at Baroni trying to prove he pulled his groin to Golberg by pulling out his unit, the guy is class, even if you hate him.
I found a poor man once
He was the age of fifty-three
He spoke about the government
And the thought of being free
What good does us reason if we fail to see?
What good does us freedom if we fail to be free
