What next for Cro Cop

Ok so the hype wasnt what we expected.

Cro Cop gets his arse spanked UFC 70 ... so where does he go from here?

I for one was rooting for Cro Cop because I would much rather see Coture Vs Cro Cop, that would have been awesome.

I hope Cro Cop can get back on track. I think Cro Cop Vs Arlovski would be an awesome fight with the winner facing Coture or Gonz.

I wish I had had more money in my Betfair account because I put my last £23.50 on Gonz! whooo.

Re: What next for Cro Cop

I really don't know if Cro Cop will ever be back in the UFC.

It looks like his leg was really messed up. That could take some time to rehab and now since he won't get a title shot any time soon, he may just say screw it.

Re: What next for Cro Cop

Hrmkay, HIS ANKLE IS NOT MESSED UP. He streched a freaking ligament guys he walked out of the Octagon with no help, its in no way serious. That was confirmed by CroCop and CroCops mom to, so yeah.

As far as his next fight goes, CroCop needs atleast two wins for a title shot now so I dont see him getting Arlovski winner faces the Champion fight again. If he does face Arlovski, it'll be a "If Arlovski wins, he gets a shot at the title, if CroCop wins he moves up in the rankings". Personaly I think we'll see something along the lines of Herring Vs CroCop or Kongo Vs CroCop

I really cannot not understand how his leg could not be messed up more than a stretched ligament. Did you see the replay of that? His angle bent the wrong way and he fell on it with all of his body weight. Of course Cro Cop is not going to say that his ankle is completely messed up even if it is. Only time will tell I guess.

I don't see him coming back to the UFC.

Re: What next for Cro Cop

I think Kongo would be a good comeback fight for him.

Im not even getting into the ankle its not an issue as far as I understand.

I want Bisping to face Liddell soon. How long realistically do you guys think it will be, how many more fights does Bisping need?

I don't see him coming back to the UFC.
Quote:
"Only one day after brutal and humiliating KO by Gabriel Gonzaga in Manchester, Mirko Cro Cop came back to Zagreb. Several of his friends, members of the special forces, were waiting for him at the airport. As soon as he got out of the terminal, walking with a limp, reporters gathered around him to hear his opinion on last night's fight, the fifth loss of Mirko's career.
Although just 10 hours passed from the KO, Mirko was calm and collected, and if it wasn't for the visible limp, you could never guess it was the same man who lied unconscious last night in the UFC cage.
"The fight went the same way I fought it, I didn't deserve any better", analyzed Mirko and continued: "That's seems to be the cross I'm carrying, I fall down every once in a while, I don't know why. I've been two times through such crisis, against Randleman and I came back, against Fedor and I came back. I'll come back after this again. It's part of my carrer, so I should handle it."
It didn't take long since last night's defeat for speculations to arise whether Gonzaga's hick-kick ended Mirko's career aswell. But to our question whether he'll continue fighting after this Cro Cop answered: "Of, course, I will fullfil the contract, I have 4 more fights to go."
After this short statement Mirko entered his car. Before anything, it's time to recover, and after that he'll start thinking about his next opponent."
There ya go

That is hard to believe the way he fell on that ankle. It looked bad.

I would say that his next opponent will be either Arlovsky or Sylvia and the winner will face the winner of the Couture/Gonzaga fight.

Re: What next for Cro Cop

Meh, I still don't think theres any doubt to wether he'll be back or not. This is in no way shape or form the first time CroCops lost or lost by KO (Check out his K-1 Record his been (T)KO'd more times then you think) . Even after his loss to Randleman he came back and choked the fuck out of randleman in almost Record time. Theres no doubt atleast me that he'll be back in the Octagon by the end of this year and no evidance to argue against that point as well.

As far as how his foot plays in to things, everybodys making a huge deal out of nothing really. CroCop walked out of the Octagon on his own will, gave interviews in croatia where he stated that his foot aside from naging injurys from PRIDE fights that no major injurys were substaned. (I'll post the Interview in a second here)
