Tito Ortiz Backs Out Of Boxing Match With Dana White

Is that Tito Ortiz no-showed the weigh-in and the fight never happened.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission was not happy with this turn of events as they had officials there. Dana White was there and got weighed-in. There was no communication from Ortiz as to why he wasn't there. Ortiz did call White and leave him a messages saying that he was letting him off the hook, but White didn't think that message meant he was cancelling the match.

Spike TV was scheduled to air a 90 minute television special building up the PPV of the fight.

lol...i read he wanted more money for it, but you never know. he really didnt have much to gain from it, besides money. i'm sure as the story unfolds it will make more sense, but i hope ultimately that it happens.

Ortiz doesn't show up for bout with UFC boss White

Tito Ortiz's planned three-round boxing exhibition Saturday against his boss, UFC President Dana White, was canceled when the former light-heavyweight champion from Huntington Beach failed to appear.

UFC officials declined to comment on Ortiz's decision, but one organization source said Ortiz was seeking more compensation for an unofficial event that was so intriguing to mixed-martial arts fans that cable network Spike TV had planned to air preview and fight shows in April.

A UFC spokeswoman said neither White nor Ortiz would comment about the cancellation.

Apparently, sources are saying he backed out because he wasnt getting the amount of money he wanted. I though because he found out he was facing Evans he is stacking up

That's BS, he was scared about getting his ass kicked. Would have been fun to see. I wanted to see if White could actually do something in the ring.
