Light Heavweight contender Forrest Griffin has been sidelined by a severe staph infection in his knee and today was forced to withdraw from his UFC 70 bout with Ryoto Machida. A replacement is currently being sought to face Machida on the April 21st card, which will be held in M.E.N. Arena in Machester, England.
Well, looks like Ryoto's a lock for a win now lol hopefully he dosnt maul the poor dude though

That sucks, everytime I have seen Forest fight its been good. Its like the guy does better once he gets beat on a little bit then it turns into a slugfest.

Lyoto was en route for victory anyway and to be honest I think Griffin is still embarrassed from losing to Jardine and have a slight suspicion of him not really being injured.

Even though he is definitly not the best fighter I dont think he would do something like that. He just strikes me as a "fighter", someone who win loose or draw enjoys the adrenaline jolt of the fight.

Unbeaten light heavyweight David Heath has stepped up to the plate to face fellow contender Lyoto Machida at UFC 70 after Forrest Griffin was forced to withdraw from the April 21st bout Wednesday due to a severe staph infection.
Attempts to place 205-pound contenders Keith Jardine and Jason Lambert in the bout against Machida were unsuccessful due to a shoulder injury suffered by Jardine, and the continuing recovery of Lambert after a grueling win over ‘Babalu’ Sobral on March 3rd’s UFC 68 card. So the call went to Tulsa, Oklahoma’s Heath, who eagerly accepted the bout, which will take place at the M.E.N. Arena in Manchester, England.

Yeah, yeah, all I'm gonna miss from Griffin is him bitching and running away again after getting beat.
Ummmmm, right besides the fact that Ryoto Vs Griffin had the possiblity of being fight of the night i think you should probably lay of Griffin. Yeah him after lossing to Jardine was funny for awhile but you have to relise his a fighter and that was a hard loss for Griffin. He still showed Jardine respect after the fight and not mention the YouTube videos of Forrests Staph Infection are fucking nasty.

Wedrum Vs Arvlovski will be the fight of the night now that Ryoto is being fed David Heath. With Griffin there would have been atleast 1 and a half rounds of slugging from both ends before someone got ktfo. Griffin is a good fighter, no matter what happened with Jardine and what happened afterwards he brings alot when he comes to fight and to say he wouldn't even have the possiblity of being fight of the night is alittl crazy considering Ryoto couldnt even put away Sam Hoger in 3 rounds.
