I was trying to catch up on emails this morning (I know, I know — I’m way behind and profusely apologize to those of you waiting for a response), and that’s when a certain subject title really caught my attention.
It read: “Junkie - Kos says Diego Likes Fellatio” — and it just sat there in my inbox waiting to be opened.
And honestly, since I love a good feud like I love barely-clothed ring girls, I really thought I should pass along the story.
Josh Koscheck (8-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) and Diego Sanchez (17-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC), as you probably know, were castmates on the first season of The Ultimate Fighter. I re-watched the entire first season over the weekend, and looking back, there didn’t seem to be anything unusual about their relationship. Not only was it civil, but it bordered on friendly for most of the season.
Perhaps that all changed when Sanchez won a close split decision over Koscheck during the show’s middleweight quarterfinals. (Sanchez went on to win the whole thing.)
In any manner, since it was announced that the two fighters (who have both since dropped to the welterweight division) would battle at UFC 69 in Houston on April 7, the bitter feud has gone public on more than a few occasions. One recent example was a MySpace comment that Sanchez left on Koscheck’s page. And Sanchez didn’t exactly wish the “blanket” the warmest Valentine’s Day wishes. (Check out the full story in our archives.)
Well, Koscheck has struck back — and in a big way.
In an interview with New Mexico MMA, the former NCAA Division 1 national champ ripped into Sanchez. Apparently, the interviewer had been blown off by Sanchez (who’s from New Mexico) and Koscheck let his feelings be known.
From newmexicomma.com:
NewMexicomma- Cool Man, That’s all I got for you. Thanks a lot for doing the interview, because Diego didn’t want to do it (I tried to contact Diego for 4 months for interview).
Josh Koscheck- That’s another thing. That just tells you the type of person he is. That he wouldn’t take the time out of his day to f—en do an interview for his Home f—en State. That’s pretty pathetic ya know. So that tells you and it tells the fans that he’s a real “C—sucker” and he has no respect for his fans, and no
respect for people like yourself, and websites like yourself. Yeah that’s the way I look at it. You could even put that right in the f—en interview. I would appreciate it if you would put that in the interview.
And, of course, he did put it in the interview.
It’s actually a pretty good story (and not just for the obvious reasons). Check it out at newmexicomma.com.
(p.s. — Is anyone else as pumped for this fight as I am?)
lol, god damn Diego Vs Kos is heating up big time, first Diego calls out Koscheck on MySpace. Now Koscheck blasts Diego in his hometown dosnt get much better then that. Hopefully Diego puts a pounding on Koscheck for doing so.
