Randy "The Natural" Couture

Brief History

In 1997 Couture won the UFC Heavyweight title and a Heavyweight Tournament in one year. After leaving the UFC over contract disputes Couture returned to the UFC now under the Zuffa brand and won the Heavyweight title again becoming the first man to win the Heavyweigt title twice in the UFC. After lossing his belt to Josh Barnett he had a chance shortly after to regain the Heavyweight title as Barnett had been stripped due to testing positive for steriods but lost again as Ricco Rodriguez's size proved to much for Couture.

Shortly after Couture moved down to Light Heavyweight (due to fustration over facing people who had to cut weight to make 260 ) and won the UFC Light Heavyweight title making him the first person ever to hold a title in two diffrent weight classes in the UFC. After defeating Tito Ortiz, Couture lost the belt to Vitor Belfort due to a cut but quickly won it back in a rematch....I think thats a first something but im not sure.

in Apirl 2005 Couture faced former Light Heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell in a long awaited rematch and lost by first round KO. As Liddell Vs Couture 3 shaped up rumors had been flying about Couture's retirment and after lossing again to KO to Liddell Couture annouced that he was indeed retiring with is now famous line "This is the last time you'll see these shorts and these gloves in this ring...I'm Retiring tonight." 12 months later and Couture has one of the toughest or easiest challenges in front of him as he signs a 4 fight deal with the UFC and Returned to the UFC at UFC 68 to defeat Tim Slyvia becoming the only man to hold the Heavyweight title 3 times and become the oldest man to hold a UFC title.

Oh and he got inducted in to the UFC Hall of Fame
