In a move to add more credibility to the announcing team, Mauro Ranallo and Jay Glazer have been announced to fill out the telecast for this weekend’s EliteXC event on Showtime, which debuts Saturday, Feb. 10 at 10 p.m. ET. They join the already announced Bill Goldberg and Mario Lopez.
As it now stands, Ranallo, the North American play-by-play voice of Pride broadcasts from 2003-2006, will handle the play-by-play duties for the EliteXC telecast, while Glazer and Goldberg will provide color commentary. Lopez will serve as the roving reporter.
“I am thrilled with the team that Showtime has put together,” commented Ranallo. “Glazer, Lopez and Goldberg are not just celebrity faces. They are true fans of the combat sports. Together, I believe we will bring a new element to the MMA announce booth. Our natural energy applied to the exciting matches will make for compelling television, the kind of experience that fans have come to expect from premium network Showtime.”
Glazer, an NFL insider, has also served as a commentator for Pride Fighting Championships on FSN, is not new to the sport and, in fact, has actually competed. He holds a combined record of 4-3 in MMA and submission grappling.
“MMA is incredible because 99.9 percent of the world is either unwilling or unable to do it,” said Glazer. “Guys in the NFL constantly tell me they’d never do it. As big and bad as they are, they are mesmerized by what it actually takes to walk into that cage.”
Goldberg has been a guest analyst on various MMA pay-per-view broadcasts and Lopez has served as a commentator on several boxing telecasts.
As long as they get rid of Lopez lol, Goldberg actually didn't do to bad from what I saw on the previews but still...get Lopez out of there.

I seen Goldberg announce MMA before and he knows a ton of fighters and is friends with a lot of them. He is very knowledgeable about fighting and the fighters
