Update on Salmon

"***UPDATE — 11:05 p.m.: Folks, Sean’s family is at the hospital with him now right now. It’d be a really good idea to send some prayers his way. We couldn’t get any specific news about any possible injuries, but he’s going to need some good thoughts headed his way. I’ll let you know once I hear anything more. According to WrestlingObserver.com, Sean Salmon is fine now after his devestating knockout loss to Rashad Evans at the UFC Fight Night 8 live special on Spike TV last night.

Salmon, who lost via vicious knockout from a high kick in the second round, remained unconscious for a reported seven full minutes following the bout, and was carried away on a stretcher. The live TV audience was left with the only update on his condition being from the Rashad Evans post-fight interview, where he indicated Salmon was still on the ground and not moving - unbeknownst to viewers who had no camera shot of Salmon after the initial live knockout.

Since the fight, Salmon has been sent to a local hospital and was reportedly conscious, coherent and talking normally.

Thank god hes alright, that was a scary kick

I Knew he was still there. I could see them tending to him and Rashad said he was still down. I am glad he was ok. That was brutal.
