Junie Browning was recently arrested for assaulting three nurses at St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Henderson, Nevada, after The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 8 alum was admitted for taking 16 pills of Klonopin an anti-anxiety drug in an attempt to harm himself, according to the Las Vegas Review Journal.
Browning, who was brought to the medical facility by two concerned friends, allegedly pushed a female nurse, as well as struck two male nurses, when attempting to discharge himself against their better judgment.
He then reportedly warned the staff:
Do you know who I am? I will kill you and rape your family.
Browning was labeled a bad boy after several drunken, and sometimes violent, episodes on the Spike TV mixed martial arts reality series. He was nearly kicked off the program several times; however, UFC President Dana White gave him numerous chances to redeem himself.
Whether or not Browning gets another chance after this incident remains to be seen.
The Kentucky native faces three counts of battery on a health care provider. He was released today from the Henderson Detention Center.
Browning most recently lost to Cole Miller via first round submission (guillotine choke) at UFC Fight Night 18 back in April

Guy has issues...he said his attitude on TUF was all staged...but seeing this I highly doubt it. He's gone.

lol @ this guy. "I will kill you and rape your family." I guess this goes to show he really was mentally unstable. I guess the whole "staged" thing was just to keep himself in the UFC.

I dunno, older brothers usually rub off on the younger brother and I think his brother was just trying to be like him and make a name for himself. In Junies case, the guy legitimately seems to have problems.

It's shame because the kid is actually quite talented, everyone just thought he was a huge douche, but as said, it seems like it isn't really his fault. He needs to get himself some help, get himself better and then maybe he can be even better in the cage than we have seen because he definitely had the potential.

Junie Browning sought professional help for his mental health over four weeks ago, Fighters Only has learned. A source close to him tells us the lightweight, who became notorious for his outbursts on season eight of The Ultimate Fighter, has been hit hard by recent developments in his personal life.
Browning himself told friends that he had sought out a psychiatrist to help him with the problems he was experiencing.
“Going to see a psychiatrist in the morning. Cant wait for this hour of me telling him how fucked up I am,” he wrote on Facebook in early September.
“I hate having people that more than likely grew up in a cul-de-sac and their biggest problem in life was deciding what color polo to wear with their khakis at the fraternity badminton party give me advice about how to fix my problems.”
He added, “Just medicate me and I’ll go on and plug into the matrix like everyone else,” a somewhat ironic statement in light of last night’s suicide attempt via his prescribed medication. Two days after seeing the psychiatrist, he updated his status to read, “And the survey says.......Nuttier than a squirrel turd!!”
Last night, Browning was admitted to a Nevada hospital having taken “between sixteen and twenty” of his anti-anxiety pills, according to his coach Shawn Tompkins.
He faces three charges of battery after being arrested for assaulting medical staff during what appears to have been a psychotic episode. This morning, the UFC terminated his contract as a result of the charges.

Saw that coming. Being terminated will just make things worse for him. Hopefully someone steps in and helps him get through this. Like Dmac said, he has such potential.

If and when he's healthy, he'll start off for a small promotion around because he would be a big name draw for the hardcore fans that go to the smaller shows would he not?
Then I see him getting picked up by Strikefarce.

If he gets his life back together and keeps out of trouble, proves he is mentally stable and picks up some wins in smaller promotions I could see him back in the UFC one day.

Yeah I was thinking about JT when I posted that and he is a very valid example. 7-1 since the fight with Dollaway and still hasn't been picked back up by the UFC. There is a difference though, Junie's problems revolve around himself and his own well-being while Taylor was directly making the UFC look bad. Though it still is probably the end for Junie unless he builds up some credible wins in Strikeforce. Just going on a run in smaller orgs MIGHT do it but it really depends on how the UFC plans on handling the situation long term.
