Spike TV today officially announced it'll carry next month's "UFC 105: Couture vs. Vera" event, which takes place Nov. 14 at the MEN Arena in Manchester, England.
Spike TV will air the event on a same-day delay at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
A bout between Dan Hardy and Mike Swick (a late replacement for injured Dong Hyun Kim) has officially taken the night's co-main-event slot behind the headliner of Randy Couture vs. Brandon Vera.
Although once the country's biggest stars and a frequent U.K. headliner, Michael Bisping takes the third spot on the night's broadcast when he meets Dennis Kang. Bisping looks to rebound from his devastating UFC 100 knockout loss to Dan Henderson. The defeat cost Bisping a title shot with UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva.
Also slated for the televised main card are the two champions from the ninth season of "The Ultimate Fighter," which featured a U.K. vs. U.S. theme. Welterweight winner James Wilks and lightweight winner Ross Pearson, who both were part of Team U.K., take on Matt Brown and Aaron Riley, respectively.
The night's full card, including the un-aired preliminary card, can be found below. As MMAjunkie.com reported last week, a planned preliminary-card bout between DeMarques Johnson and Peter Sobotta has been scratched from the card because of Sobotta's military obligations. (Johnson will instead take on Edgar Garcia at UFC 107 in December.)
The full UFC 105 card includes:
Main Card
Randy Couture vs. Brandon Vera
Dan Hardy vs. Mike Swick
Michael Bisping vs. Denis Kang
Matt Brown vs. James Wilks
Ross Pearson vs. Aaron Riley
Preliminary Card
Terry Etim vs. Shannon Gugerty
John Hathaway vs. Paul Taylor
Nick Osipczak vs. Matthew Riddle
Alexander Gustafsson vs. Jared Hamman
Roli Delgado vs. Andre Winner
Not that I care because we'll get it live over here anyway.

Meh, it's determining who will fight GSP, right?
If so, then it adds some value to it, even though GSP will probably smoke them both. I love seeing Couture fight, so I'm pretty pumped about that. He's at 205 again, so it should be interesting how he performs against people his own weight again.

The war of words that will pursue will be main event material TE.
That may be turn out to be true. My main point about it not being main event material was their name value but seeing how it's free on Spike, they don't have to be stars. 'But it will help build their names up since they'll have many more watching the event than if it was a PPV.
As for Randy JD, I personally don't think he'll perform much better at 205. His opponents will be much smaller yes, but also much faster. 'But of course last time he lost at 205 was against a Chuck Liddell in his prime.

Hardy needs it more than Swick does, Swick's name has been around since the first TUF season and even if he is not overly well known, he is clearly a bigger name than Hardy is.
Hardy has only just made it out of the British circuit where he's been fighting for Cage Warriors for a long time. Never heard of it? Exactly.
