You think he deserves a shot at Lesnar after winning one fight...
Do you not remember him losing to Mir?
Yeah he lost to Mir, but why does Carwin deserve a shot?
Lets look at their latest fights.
Shane Carwin
1. UFC 96 - Win over Gabriel Gonzaga
2. UFC 89 - Win over Neil Wain
3. UFC 84 - Win over Christian Wellisch
Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
1. UFC 102 - Win over Randy Couture
2. UFC 92 - Loss to Frank Mir
3. UFC 81 - Win over Tim Sylvia
I think Nog deserves it. Yeah he did lose to Mir but why does Carwin deserve it over him?
Is a win over some lower levels guys that much better than a loss to a former Champion and the last #1 Contender?

The difference is there that Nog lost one inbetween and it hurt him. They're giving a shot to a fresh guy, we all know that Nog will get another shot sooner or later where as with a big loss he could go into decline seeing as he has never beaten anyone of note and is actually 34, the only even remotely noteworthy win for Carwin has been Gonzaga.
It has happened to guys in the past such as Vera who was 8-0 going into his fight Sylvia with a past win over a returning Mir who obviously want back in the game yet and the only difference is that Vera was younger and has had time to bounce back.

You have got to be kidding me.
His last three opponents were former UFC champions and he won two of those.....

Don't just look at the fact that Nog won 2 and lost 1 and Carwin won 3 look at how fast Carwin won.
His fights have been what a combined 5 minutes...
Yeah, but you also have to take the quality of opponents into account.
