“So yeah, I’m not a big fan of fighters doing movies. When your career is over, if you turn into a movie star, that’s awesome.”
It kinda gets me pissed. I mean, first Machida, now doing a movie? Rampage is still a very relevant 205'er and he's doing movies? He should at least do the fight, then try to find a movie to star in. I've lost some respect for the guy. Plus when you sign and agree to be on TUF, you should know that you're pretty much expected to fight after it...not 5 months after.

I always thought Rampage was about the money. Evans needs a new person to face so Jon Jones should get a chance. Jones isn’t a big name so there wont have to be much negotiating. Time to give the young guys a shot especially when the so called main guys mess up and dont fight.

I said the WWE reference in general, didn't mean you tried to imply it. In WWE, a lot of people want new blood to get a shot at the main event stars. Jones has only had 3 fights in the UFC, 2 of which have gone to decision. He needs 3-5 more fights before he gets a shot at a non-title Rashad Evans, granted his opponents before hand have some credentials. Have him fight Vera, that would test his skill, or even the newest gatekeeper in the LHW division, Jardine.

Rashad Evans has yet to be officially informed that his UFC 107 main-event matchup with Quinton "Rampage" Jackson has been scrapped, according to his manager, Jervis Cole.
FanHouse contacted Cole on Saturday to find out whether the ex-UFC light-heavyweight champion had been informed of any change in scheduling. As of yesterday afternoon, he had not.
"Haven't heard anything yet," Cole wrote in a text message to FanHouse. "As far as we know the fight is still on. Until the UFC tells us something different, Rashad Evans starts training in mid-October."
