I honestly can't see anyone taking these guys out anytime soon...
Brock Lesnar is a monster and looks unbeatable at the moment.
Lyoto Machida is the smartest fighter in mma today and unless Anderson Silva decides to fight him, I really dont see anyone taking his belt.
Anderson Silva....next, no need to even comment on him....Best pound 4 pound fighter today.
GSP is another beast at Welterweight. His performance against Alves proved that no one at this point can take him out.
BJ Penn proved all his critics wrong at UFC 101 by finishing KenFlo in the 4th. In the UFC only Nightmare Sanchez can maybe take him out, but I seriously doubt he actually can. BJ is just too damn talented.

Do you have a reason not to give The Half Boy your vote for the Hall of Fame?
I think if Couture had another chance he could do it. I also think Big Nog could do it.
As for BJ Penn, he is VERY inconsistent. I could see him having a bad fight and losing the belt.

It is a great group. I think Lesnar is still the most vulnerable of that group.. He may not have as many challengers as some of the others, but he's still the least experienced. In the future, I think Lesnar will be near unbeatable as he continues to work on his defense, but I'm not ready to give it to him yet.
Machida still has the most challengers in a very deep division.
I would say that the UFC has the proven most talented fighters in the world except Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight.
BJ Penn - he might be inconsistent at times, but I'm not sure there is anyone at Lightweight right now who in the UFC who can beat him when he's on. And since almost anyone is capable of an off night, I don't know that drops him much. There is some great LW talent outside the UFC, but I would take Penn over any of them.
Georges St. Pierre - uh yeah, no explanation needed.
Anderson Silva - pretty much the same. I still think a fight between Silva and Mousasi would be an all-timer.
Lyoto Machida - probably gonna get slammed for this one, but I'm not convinced yet that's going to dominate LHW for a long time. He is obviously an elite fighter and a very tough match up. But there is a reason that the belt has bounced around a lot in the past couple years - it is a very deep weight class with a lot of talent. When Evans took the belt, a lot people said no one could take it from him (I know a couple of people who said Lyoto could/would, but they were few). Evans is a helluva fighter, but he came up against some who he didn't match up well against and who he didn't gameplan well for. I could see someone big, strong, with good striking and wrestling keep things tight on Machida, grinding him on the cage for 5 rounds - Rampage being the most likely to make it work. I could also see Machida dominating LHW like Liddell did for a long time. Its not the "best in the world" part that I'm questioning with Machida, its the proven part.
Brock Lesnar - I have a lot more questions about Lesnar than Machida. He is obviously a load, relatively limited as a fighter at this point (so it seems) but what he can do well, he can do very very well. What impressed me most in his fight against Mir was that he fought smart and under control - that makes him a lot more dangerous than wild, as he is less likely to make that mistake than a more seasoned fighter can take advantage of. I won't be shocked if Lesnar goes on a run of dominance in HW division and possibly even takes Fedor's crowd at some point as the top HW (even if they never meet). I'm just not convinced yet.

I reserve judgement on BJ, I personally don't think hes facing the best talent possible so far in his reign outside of Sherk. I'd love to BJ against the DREAM crew, but as far as UFC talent goes I couldnt argue against anyone of them.

How in the World is BJ Penn inconsistent? He hasn't lost a Lightweight fight since UFC 35, and not only could you argue that that decision was bullshit, but he would avenge that loss later anyway. So, ignoring that one loss, the dude is UNDEFEATED at Lightweight. That is in no way, shape, or form inconsistent.

He is inconsistent in terms of his motivation. There is a reason that he's notorious for not having very good cardio. Sure didn't look like a problem against Florian, but what about the next fight?

I was just about to bring up the same point to be honest ... Apart from Lesnar I agree that these are in the top 5 P4P kings in the world.
Lesnar will probably become the best HW in the world but right now its Fedor ... so thats the only missing link!

Dana White had to call his brother every day when he was training to fight GSP to make sure that BJ was training and wasn't down at the beach surfing.
You just never which BJ is going to show up. The machine who is unstoppable, or the guy who gasses out after 3 rounds.
